Abstract

L'invention a trait à des systèmes et à des procédés permettant de veiller à l'application d'expressions de droits. Selon lesdits procédés, un destinataire et un fournisseur spécifient chacun une expression de droits concernant un article, laquelle indique les modes d'utilisation respectifs de l'article ; une correspondance entre lesdites expressions de droits est établie ; et une règle est appliquée à la correspondance pour que le destinataire puisse utiliser l'article. Selon d'autres modes de réalisation, le destinataire spécifie, dans une expression de droits associée à un article, un mode et/ou une condition d'utilisation souhaitée, et l'article est remis si ladite expression de droits est satisfaite ; le mode d'utilisation est spécifié dans une expression de droits associée à un référentiel. L'invention concerne aussi un ou plusieurs référentiels contenant des expressions de droits associées indiquant également une condition d'utilisation ; et un référentiel qui comprend une unité de processeur destinée à traiter une expression de droits associée, et une unité de détermination destinée à déterminer, sur la base de cette dernière, la mesure à prendre lors du traitement ou de la réception d'une demande liée à l'article, conformément aux indications concernant un mode ou une condition d'utilisation.
