Abstract

This invention is on waist-sporting equipment, specifically, can be placed on the office chair or the seat of the car and while seated comfortably, exercise your back by rotating left and right and leaning forward and backward within from the waist. It offers prevention and treatment for corpulence in the waist and stomach. It is improved invention of my pre-application utility model no. 2001-17889. (Register no. 250516)

Description

The waist sporting goods
[Technical field]
This invention is exercise equipment and is worn around your waist. It is
very convenient and can be used while sitting in your car seat or office
chair. The equipment is used by rotating your back, leaning forward and
backward approximately 15 degrees. The purpose of this exercise is to
treat and prevent back pain and to prevent corpulence in the waist and
stomach. This is an approved invention and is an improvement on my
previous waist sporting goods technology. The pre-application utility
model No. is 2001 -17889 (registered no. 250516)
[Background of invention]
As industry has developed, an increasing number of people work in an
office or spend a lot of time seated in motor vehicles. Those who remain
seated for a long time with little movement often suffer from waist and
stomach corpulence, Hernia, Intervertebral Disc and lumbago due to a lack
of exercise in those areas.
Therefore, in order to solve these problems for those who lack exercises I
have modified my original invention, which was registered as no. 196740 and is illustrated in fig. 6 (A). The parts are illustrated as follows:
(11) lower board to be placed on a chair or a seat, (12) upper board to
support the hip, (13) the exerciser located between (11) lower board and
(12) upper board;
(13) the exerciser is a bar made of elastic material, such as urethane or
rubber;
above (13) the exerciser is fixed by (14) bolt that penetrates (11) lower
board and (12) upper board;
(15) cushioning material, which reduces fatigue of the hip, is put over top
of (12) upper board;
(16) covering material to finish the (10) waist sporting equipment.
Unfortunately, the original waist-sporting equipment had a problem, the
weight of the user was concentrated on (13) the exerciser could break
because the weight was not evenly distributed. Moreover, it lacked a rigid
support system when the user moved the upper body and could not
absorb the pressure exerted by the user.
For this reason, my pre-registered invention no. 250516, the exerciser was
improved so that it could resist the weight and pressure caused by the movement of the user. The new invention has improved durability and
quality which makes it much more user-friendly. As you can see in fig. 6
(B), (68) a support pad was inserted between the upper and lower face of
inner side (57) both surrounding and between (51), (52) the upper and
lower board, (55) it was padded and everything was covered with internal
(57) material. This meant that manufacturing it in mass quantities would
not be feasible. This would also mean that the product would be too
large and expensive and the design would decrease the quality.
[Detailed statement of invention]
The primary purpose of this invention was two fold; to solve above listed
problems while improving the appearance of the waist-sporting equipment
and to make mass manufacturing more cost efficient for consumers.
Additionally, the new design would reduce the size and weight, because,
simply put, a slim and simple design would improve the over-all quality of
the product.
To realize this vision, the support boards were divided into upper and
lower sections, and the seat board was injection molded. The exerciser
was inserted between support and seat boards, and secured with flexible duct.

[Example of practical application]
The following is a detailed explanation of how to use the equipment. Fig.
1 is strabismal sketch of the waist-sporting equipment. Fig. 2 is front
composition drawing of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is cross section drawing of Fig. 1.
The waist-sporting equipment consist of ;(1) support board (2) seat board,
to be placed on a chair or a seat, (3) to support the hip of the user, and
the exerciser (4) to provide both flexibility and support for the weight of
the user. On the top of seat board (3), convex shaped foam cushioning
material (5) is equipped to reduce fatigue of the user when seated.
On this invention, improving appearance of the waist-sporting equipment
(1) is the distinctive feature and the following provides the details.
The exerciser (4) of this invention has a shaped compression spring with a
narrow top and wide bottom (4a). The top and the bottom of the
compression spring (4a) is inserted between seat board (3) and support
board (2) and welded to upper plate (6) and lower plate (6a) that support
them. The upper and lower plate (6), (6a) should be a metal plate that makes it convenient to repair the compression spring (4a) to them. The
exerciser (4) should be fitted by flexible duct (7), which contradicts and
extends. The top and the bottom of flexible duct (7) is fitted to a concave
round rim (3a) on lower side of seat board (3) and a concave round rim
(2a) upper side of support plate (2) and fixed in between seat board (3)
and support board (2).
This invention is used as follows;
The user places the waist-sporting equipment (1) on a chair or a seat
(illustrated as a chair) and is used while seated. At this point the support
board (2) is connected to upper side of chair (C) and seat board (3) with
the foam cushioning material (5) facing up, so the user can sit on the
foam cushioning material. (5) The hip of the user should be placed right
on the convex part of the foam cushioning material (5) to exercise with
stability. At any point, if you need to work, you can maintain this position
while working. If you want to work while you are on a break, keep your
back straight and rotate your hip. The exerciser (4) located between seat
board (3) and support board (2), does not rotate but tilts to the direction
you are rotating as in fig. 2, so it makes possible for you to exercise your waist and stomach. The exerciser (4) tilts by rotating the hip because the
exerciser (4) has the narrow top and wide bottom compression spring (4a)
with outstanding bending and restoration, and in the process of the
waist-sporting equipment (1) tilting and restoring to various directions,
flexible duct (7) fitting the exerciser (4) contracts to direction of tilting by
wrinkle (8) and the opposite direction extends the wrinkle (8), so it does
not impede the exercise.
The new waist-sporting equipment (1) shakes your body evenly from left
to right and exercises your whole body by rotating your hip while keeping
your back straight. It stimulates your stomach, so it improves your
intestinal fortitude, preventing constipation and lumbago. Simultaneously,
the built-up fat in your waist and stomach is dissolved, thus preventing
corpulence. The exercise achieves all the above in a simple and efficient
manner.
Also, because the exerciser (4) consists of a narrow top, wide bottom
shaped compression spring (4a), it can even be used semi-permanently.
It is durable enough to sustain the weight and pressure caused by using
the equipment. In addition, fig. 4 is a drawing of other possible uses of the invention;
The compression spring (4a) in the exerciser (4) of waist-sporting
equipment (1) has built-in tube (9), so that it can be connected to pump
(p) with a valve through a hose (h), which can be attached externally to
the waist-sporting equipment. (1) This can limit movement or adjust the
flexibility of the exerciser (4) according to the weight of the user by
operating the pump (p) and storing air in tube (9). Then, part of tube (9)
will be positioned between the compression spring (4a) and movement of
compression spring (4a) can be limited.
[Possibility of using in industry]
As mentioned above, this invention will provide sufficient exercise effect in
a short time and in a convenient place. With the back straight, leaning
forward or backward and rotating left and right exercises your whole body.
As previously mentioned this stimulates the stomach to strengthen intestine
and prevent and solve constipation and lumbago. Also, it prevents fat
building up in stomach and waist and dissolves built-up fat, so it offers
weight control by reducing body fat.
It can be mass produced by injecting the molding into the waist-sporting equipment with synthetic resin and can be supplied at a lower cost for
common use. The size and the weight of the invention can be reduced
due to preference, and at the same time, the appearance of equipment
can be more slim, simple and of high quality.

compression spring (4a) in the exerciser (4), upper and lower end of the
compression spring to be inserted between seat board (3) and support
board (2) and welded and fixed to upper plate (6) and lower plate (6a)
that supports them, the exerciser (4) fitted by flexible duct (7) that
contradicts and extends, and upper and lower end of flexible duct (7) to
be inserted between a concave round rim (3a) of bottom of seat board
(3) and a concave round rim (2a) of top of support board (2) and fixed.
