Abstract

Le système selon l'invention relève du domaine de la construction navale, et est destiné à être utilisé sur les navires à tirant d'eau, les vedettes et les embarcations à moteur rapides. La présente invention permet la production d'un système de propulsion par jet d'eau possédant un poids et des dimensions réduits. De plus, la présente invention permet d'augmenter l'efficacité du propulseur et sa facilité de fabrication, ainsi que de respecter l'environnement. Ces améliorations sont obtenues par la réduction des dimensions d'une buse d'éjection ayant un orifice de sortie en forme de fente, et par l'utilisation d'une plaque de retenue et de paliers lubrifiés à l'eau. Ledit système de propulsion et de direction comprend un conduit d'eau, un dispositif de génération de pression hydraulique possédant un carénage de moyeu et placé sur un arbre muni de paliers, un appareil de rectification doté de montants profilés qui fixent à la buse d'éjection le carénage de moyeu d'un impulseur, et un dispositif de direction bidirectionnel possédant un déflecteur orientable. Le système de propulsion et de direction par jet d'eau permet au navire de se déplacer à différentes vitesses en marche avant, d'effectuer une marche arrière et de se maintenir à l'arrêt, et également d'être manoeuvré dans tous les modes de mouvement. Le système de propulsion et de direction par jet d'eau de l'invention permet, selon les résultats des essais sur maquettes, d'améliorer les caractéristiques de propulsion de 5 à 10 %. De plus, les dimensions du mécanisme de direction bidirectionnel sont réduites de 50 à 60 %, tandis que le poids du système de propulsion par jet d'eau est réduit de 10 à 20 %.
