Description

METHOD FOR REAL TIME A FREE GIFT EVENT PROCESSING
USING MAGNETIC CARD
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a method of conducting a gift sale using a magnetic card, and more specifically to a method of conducting a real-time gift sale using a magnetic card in which the gift sale participant passes a magnetic card through the slot of a card reader that can read magnetic cards such as credit cards and department store cards to operate a gift sale program to display the winning result on screen and the winning result is printed out as a gift exchange receipt and the gift winner presents it to a gift exchange place to have the gift provided.
BACKGROUND ART
In the conventional method of conducting a gift sale, the gift sale sponsor such as a department store provides the customer who has purchased more than a certain amount a gift subscription coupon to enable him to participate in the gift sale, and the gift sale participant records his personal details in the provided gift subscription coupon and puts it into a gift subscription coupon collection box, and the gift sale sponsor manually draws lots at the end of the gift sale period from the gift subscription coupons that were put in the gift subscription coupon collection box and announces the gift winners, and the gift sale participant checks with the announcement to confirm whether he has won a gift and the gift winner is given the gift in the gift exchange place.
Below will be described the prior art with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a conventional method of conducting a gift sale, which consists of step 1 in which the gift sale sponsor such as a department store provides the customer who has purchased more than a given amount a gift subscription coupon to enable him to participate in the gift sale, step 2 in which the gift sale participant records his personal details in the provided gift subscription coupon and puts it into a gift subscription coupon collection box, step 3 in which the gift sale sponsor manually draws lots at the end of the gift sale period from the gift subscription coupons that were put in the gift subscription coupon collection box and announces the gift winners, and step 4 in which the gift sale participant checks with the announcement to confirm whether he has won a gift and the gift winner is given the gift in the gift exchange place.
Therefore, in the above described conventional method of conducting a gift sale, since the gift sale sponsor manually draws lots at the end of the gift sale period from the gift subscription coupons that were put in the gift subscription coupon collection box and announces the gift winners, there is a problem that the gift sale participant cannot confirm whether he has won or not upon presenting the gift subscription coupon and he can confirm it only if he attends again the announcement place on the day when the gift sale period ends.
Another problem is that since the gift sale sponsor manually draws lots from the gift subscription coupons that were put in the gift subscription coupon collection box and announces the gift winner, consistency and fairness are lowered in the conducting method.
Furthermore, there is yet another problem that since the information of the personal details of the gift sale participants and the winning result is not stored and managed, marketing and follow-up control of the gift sale participants after the end of the gift sale are difficult for the gift sale sponsor.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a method of conducting a real-time gift sale using a magnetic card, in which the gift sale participant passes a gift subscription coupon through a slot of a card reader that can read a magnetic card such as a credit card or a department store card to operate a gift sale program and the gift winning result is provided to the gift sale participant while the gift winning result is displayed on a visual multicube screen connected online to the card reader and a gift exchange receipt is printed out and the winning result is stored in a gift winner management PC installed in a gift exchange place connected online to a RF card reader so that the gift winner can be promptly provided with the gift.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a method of conducting a real-time gift sale using a magnetic card in which marketing and follow-up control of the gift sale participants are possible after the end of the gift sale by utilizing the personal information of the gift winner information that is stored in the gift winner management PC installed in a gift exchange place connected online to the card reader. In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a method of conducting a gift sale using a card, the method comprising the steps of: passing a magnetic card through a slot of a magnetic card reader to operate a gift sale program; displaying a winning result by said operated gift sale program on a multicube screen connected online to said magnetic card reader; displaying the winning result by said operated gift sale program on a monitor connected online to said magnetic card reader; printing out the winning result as a gift exchange receipt by said operated gift sale program; storing the winning result by said operated gift sale program in a gift winner management PC installed in a gift exchange place connected online to said magnetic card reader; confirming the won gift with said gift exchange receipt presented by the gift sale participant; providing a gift confirmed at said gift winner management PC to said gift winner. BEST MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Below, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of a method of conducting a real-time gift sale using a magnetic card according to the present invention. When the gift sale participant passes the magnetic card through a slot of a magnetic card reader to operate a gift sale program (step 10), the winning result is displayed by the operated gift sale program on a multicube screen connected online to the magnetic card reader (step 20), while the winning result is displayed by the operated gift sale program on a monitor connected online to the magnetic card reader (step 30) and the winning result is printed out by the operated gift sale program as a gift exchange receipt (step 50) and the winning result is stored by the operated gift sale program in a gift winner management PC installed in the gift sale exchange place connected online to the card reader (step 60), and the gift sale sponsor confirms the won gift at the gift winner management PC with the gift exchange receipt presented by the gift sale participant (step 70), and the gift sale sponsor gives the gift winner the gift confirmed at the gift winner management PC (step 80).
Fig. 3 is a block diagram of the method of conducting a realtime gift sale using the magnetic card according to the present invention. It consists of a magnetic card 100 that operates a gift sale program by passing it through a slot of a magnetic card reader 200, a slot type magnetic card reader 200, a multicube 700 that is connected online to the magnetic card reader 200 and displays the winning result by the operated gift sale program, a monitor 300 that is connected online to the magnetic card reader 200 and displays the winning result by the operated gift sale program, a printer 400 that prints out the winning result as a gift exchange receipt by the operated gift sale program, and a gift winner management PC 500 that is installed in a gift exchange place 600 connected online to the magnetic card reader 200 and stores the winning result by the operated gift sale program.
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims. INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
The present invention has an effect that can maximize customer confidence by winning error minimization and accuracy through a network system in which bonus opportunities are given to customers above a certain amount and winners are determined by a digital and random winning probability system.
The present invention has an effect on the increase of new card membership applicants and the increase of direct sales by giving event participation opportunities to card owners. The present invention provides the winning results to the gift sale participants real-time on multicube, so the visual effect is further enhanced to increase the event characteristics to the maximum.
The present invention stores and manages the information on gift sale participants and winning results in database to be utilized for marketing, so it has an effect that a secure leading position can be built in the distribution industry by increasing the preference for department stores and discount stores due to thank- customer events differentiated from other department stores.
