Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de gazéification de matières premières présentant des constituants combustibles caractérisé en ce qu'un chauffage des matières premières ainsi que des réactions endothermiques de séchage, pyrolyse et gazéification par ladite vapeur se déroulent dans au moins un premier compartiment (4) d'un four cylindrique horizontal rotatif (1), appelé réacteur, où des traitements thermochimiques reçoivent de la chaleur exclusivement sensible, cédée par un solide caloporteur (2) qui est par là refroidi par 40 à 70 °C à une température située au-dessous de 900 °C et au-dessous de la température de fusion des cendres générées, ledit solide caloporteur (2) étant lui-même chauffé par une partie du combustible gazeux fourni par le réacteur dans un deuxième compartiment (3) dudit four cylindrique horizontal rotatif, appelé réchauffeur, tout en présentant un déplacement continuel du caloporteur (2) entre les deux compartiments (3,4) lors du fonctionnement. L'invention concerne également une installation pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé.
