Abstract

Se presenta un procedimiento para calentar un horno giratorio (1) diseñado para la gasificación y pirólisis de material orgánico. La energía para calentar el horno giratorio (1) se suministra por medio de un intercambiador de calor de radiación (2) situado en el interior y de forma longitudinal en el horno giratorio (1), y el suministro de energía al intercambiador de calor de radiación (2) se efectúa de forma controlada a lo largo de la longitud del mismo, para conseguir una distribución de temperatura dentro del horno giratorio (1) que esté optimizada para la gasificación y pirólisis deseadas. El suministro de energía al intercambiador de calor de radiación se efectúa mediante la combustión controlada de un gas combustible, tal como el gas pirolítico dentro del intercambiador de calor (2). Se consiguen ventajas sorprendentes mediante la combustión parcial controlada del gas pirolítico (8) dentro del intercambiador de calor de radiación (2). De esta forma se quema la parte más condensabledel gas pirolítico (8) de forma que se reduzca la tendencia a la condensación del gas pirolítico en los sucesivos conductos.
