Definitions

  • the invention relates to a carrier for a flying cutting disc bearing, which can be fixed to a rotatably mounted base body by means of a screw connection, in which the cutting discs are supported on the carrier with the interposition of tapered roller bearings, grooves being arranged on the circumference of the base body and the carrier relative to Rotation axis of the disks is angled or cranked and has a cross section corresponding to the cross section of the grooves at its end facing away from the disc bearing.
  • Cutting wheels are used, on the circumference of which rotatably mounted disks are fixed.
  • the cutting wheel consists of a basic rotating body that can accommodate several cutting disc units.
  • a flying cutting disc bearing has become known, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,749,188, in which the disc bearing has a bearing journal or carrier, which is fixed in a rectangular milling of the base body by means of a screw connection.
  • the high cutting reaction forces are absorbed by the screw connection via a corresponding lever arm, the screw bolts being subjected to high mechanical loads.
  • the bearing journals must be fitted into the cutout, as a result of which frictional forces arise at the edges of the bearing journals, which can result in a corresponding play when the bearing journals are subjected to high abrupt loads, which promotes wear.
  • the invention now aims to improve the fixing of the carrier to the base body, and thus the storage, for use with particularly hard rock, and at the same time to ensure that parts which are subject to high wear can be easily removed without losing their load-bearing capacity storage can be replaced.
  • the invention thus aims to ensure a high load-bearing capacity and a rigid attachment to the base body of the drilling tool, while at the same time a simple exchange of wearing parts should be made possible without loss of the load-bearing capacity of the bearing.
  • the carrier according to the invention in combination with the rotatably mounted base body essentially consists in that the grooves arranged on the circumference of the base body have a trapezoidal cross-section and the carrier has openings for receiving fastening screws running transversely to the parallel trapezoidal sides of this cross-section, and that on the longer of the carrier trapezoidal sides parallel to each other relative to the base body, a bore running in the axial direction of the axis of rotation of the disks for receiving a fastening bolt for the disk storage opens.
  • the design is particularly suitable for angled or cranked configurations of the carrier relative to the axis of rotation, the simple detachability and fixing of the carrier offering the possibility of using carriers with different cranking or different angles for the respective rock properties and in particular the respective hardness of the rock without that further modifications to the cutting tool would be required.
  • the particularly simple fixing of the rotatably mounted disks succeeds in this embodiment in that, in addition to the openings running transversely to the parallel trapezoidal sides of the cross section of the carrier, for receiving fastening screws for fixing the carrier on the base body, an axis essentially of the axis of rotation of the discs running bore is provided for receiving a fastening bolt for disc storage, this bore opening on the longer of the mutually parallel trapezoidal sides relative to the base body and in this way enables the disks to be fixed and the disks to be easily replaced without complete disassembly even when the carrier is mounted if such discs have become defective.
  • the design according to the invention is such that the carrier has cylindrical outer surfaces stepped coaxially with the axis of rotation for receiving the tapered roller bearings, the diameter of the The lateral surfaces gradually decrease towards the free end of the support.
  • the graduated design of the end of the carrier facing the disc bearing allows the tapered roller bearings for the disc bearing to be easily mounted, the inner bearings of the tapered roller bearings being pressed onto the respective cylindrical outer surfaces.
