  • the doorstop and bumping element according to the present invention comprises two parts integral to each other, of which advantageously a first upper part is made of a relatively stiff material suitable for contacting the door's lower edge, and a second lower part made of a relatively resiliently deformable material having an high friction capacity suitable for being placed on the surface of the floor, whereby this second part can be made of a synthetic spongy material.
  • the bumper and doorstop element according to the present invention is shaped as a very flat truncated cone which allows the door's edge to exert a pressure on the stiff part and, consequently, to transfer the pressure to the soft material which is in contact with the floor, thereby obtaining that the whole becomes fastened to the surface of the floor just by means of the exerted friction.

  • the shape of a very flat truncated cone of the doorstop and bumper element 10 according to the invention is omnidirectional relative to its vertical axis and does not need any special positioning in respect of the pivoting axis of the door.
  • the thickness of element 10 should decrease starting from the tip in the direction of the lower edge, what allows the an o ni-directional application of the element onto the floor and against the door, according to particular forms of embodiment of the invention the shape of element 10 can also be irregular, such as for example the shape of a spot or any other shape of fantasy.
  • the upper part 13 of the doorstop and bumper element 10 has the shape of a spherical cap.
  • the first upper part 11 of element 10 is totally or partially made of a fluorescent or luminescent or light- refracting material.
  • the upper part 11 of element 10 can comprise some alphanumeric or graphical representations, like for example arrows or other representations of fantasy which, according to a further variant can also be three-dimensional.
  • the doorstop and bumper element 10 comprises a magnet (not illustrated in the drawings) that is embedded inside its structure, and which allows the element 10 to be moved on the floor or removed therefrom for example by means of a stick with a metallic tip element, thereby avoiding to stoop for picking it up.
  • the first upper part 11 of the doorstop and bumper element 10 can be made of wood and/or plastic material and/or metal and/or glass and/or ceramic, while the second lower part 12 is advantageously made of a rubber material such as neoprene.
  • the first and second parts 11, 12 of the doorstop and bumper element 10 are made of the same material, in particular when the material used for the first upper part (11) and the second lower part (12) exhibits the required characteristics of relative stiffness and friction.
