Abstract

Específicamente concebida para colchones dotados de muelles (4), la esquinera consiste en un cuerpo tubular (1, 1'), cilíndrico, afectado por una línea longitudinal de corte (2), en correspondencia con una de sus generatrices, que relaciona sus dos embocaduras, hacia las que se abre una pluralidad de amplias escotaduras (3, 3'), de configuración trapecial-isoscélica, que conjuntamente con la abertura longitudinal (2) permiten el acoplamiento machihembrado de la esquinera a los muelles (4) del colchón, cerrando el conjunto de muelles exteriormente sobre la correspondiente esquina y ofreciendo una superficie lisa, continua y en ausencia de abultamientos, hundimientos o deformaciones.

ESQUINERA PARA COLCHONES Y MÉTODO DE OBTENCIÓN DE LA
MISMA
D E S C R I P C I Ó N
OBJETO DE LA INVENCIÓN
La presente invención se refiere a una pieza que ha sido especialmente concebida para ser utilizada como esquinera en cada uno de los vértices o esquinas de un colchón, que resulta especialmente idónea para ser utilizada en colchones de muelles, de manera que participando en el carácter elásticamente deformable del núcleo del colchón y resultando fácilmente fijable a los muelles de dicho núcleo, remata estéticamente las esquinas del colchón eliminando los clásicos abultamientos, hundimientos o deformaciones que convencionalmente se producen en estas zonas de los colchones de muelles.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN
En los colchones del tipo anteriormente citado participa generalmente una carcasa de muelles, en la que una serie de unidades de tales muelles, generalmente con una configuración helicoidal, se solidarizan convenientemente entre sí a la vez que se establecen entre dos imaginarios planos paralelos correspondientes a las bases del colchón. De forma más concreta estos muelles unitarios resultan coplanarios por sus extremos donde se fijan a cuerpos acolchados que revisten superior e inferiormente el núcleo del colchón y que amortiguan el contacto físico con dichos muelles potenciando el confort del colchón frente al usuario. Un revestimiento acolchado similar afecta a todo el perímetro del colchón, donde los resultados son más deficientes por ser mayor el grado de deformabilidad en estas zonas, y especialmente a nivel de las esquinas, donde frecuentemente se forman abultamientos, hundimientos, deformaciones o arrugas, que repercuten negativamente en la estética del colchón.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓN
La esquinera para colchones que la invención propone resuelve de forma plenamente satisfactoria esta problemática, consistiendo en un cuerpo tubular, de polietileno y de cota axial acorde con el espesor del núcleo de muelles del colchón, dotado a nivel de sus embocaduras de profundas escotaduras y de un corte longitudinal en correspondencia con una de sus generatrices, de manera que esta pieza de polietileno es capaz de adaptarse y fijarse a los muelles del colchón, en correspondencia con cada una de las esquinas del mismo, ofreciendo en dicha esquina una superficie exterior lisa y perfectamente cilindrica, que por un lado limita la deformabilidad elástica del colchón en la esquina correspondiente y por otro repercute de forma muy positiva en la estética del mismo.
En cuanto al método para obtención de la citada esquinera de polietileno, éste consiste en partir de una pieza tubular y cilindrica, obtenida por extrusión, a la que posteriormente se somete a un corte en correspondencia con una de sus generatrices, que permite la extensión de la misma, para convertirla en un cuerpo laminar y plano, durante la fase de troquelado en la que se obtienen las escotaduras de sus extremos, recuperando finalmente su configuración tridimensional o cilindrica originaria, por simple recuperación elástica del material constitutivo de la misma.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DIBUJOS
Para complementar la descripción que se está realizando y con objeto de ayudar a una mejor comprensión de las características del invento, de acuerdo con un ejemplo preferente de realización práctica del mismo, se acompaña como parte integrante de dicha descripción, un juego de dibujos en donde con carácter ilustrativo y no limitativo, se ha representado lo siguiente:
La figura 1.- Muestra, según una vista en perspectiva, una esquinera para colchón realizada de acuerdo con el objeto de la presente invención.
La figura 2.- Muestra, también según una vista en perspectiva, la misma esquinera de la figura anterior debidamente acoplada a una de las esquinas de un colchón de muelles.
Las figuras 3, 4 y 5.- Muestran, respectivamente, perfil, alzado y planta de otra realización preferente de la invención.
La figura 6.- Muestra, finalmente, según una vista en perspectiva, la misma esquinera de la figura anterior debidamente acoplada a una de las esquinas de un colchón de muelles.
REALIZACIÓN PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCIÓN
A la vista de las figuras reseñadas puede observarse como la esquinera para colchones que la invención propone está estructurada a partir de un cuerpo tubular (1) , preferentemente de polietileno y obtenida mediante extrusión, con una configuración tendente al cilindro y con un considerable espesor de pared, cuerpo tubular (1) que se abre mediante un corte longitudinal (2) , situado en correspondencia con una de sus generatrices, para permitir, mediante deformación elástica del mismo, convertirlo temporalmente en un cuerpo laminar y plano, que en una fase de troquelado se dota de amplias escotaduras (3) en sus extremos, preferentemente con la configuración trapecial-isoscélica que resulta especialmente visible en la figura 2, de manera que a término de esta fase de troquelado para la obtención de las escotaduras (3) , la propia recuperación elástica del cuerpo (1) hace que éste adopte de nuevo su primigenia configuración tubular o tridimensional, como cualquiera de las figuras 1 y 2.
La cota axial del cuerpo tubular (1) será la adecuada al espesor del colchón, como se desprende de la observación de la figura 2, y las escotaduras (3) de sus extremos tienen como finalidad facilitar, conjuntamente con su propio corte longitudinal (2) , el acoplamiento de la esquinera a los muelles (4) que participan en el colchón, situándose lógicamente cada esquinera (1) en correspondencia con cada una de las aristas verticales del colchón, colaborando a rigidizar elásticamente dichas esquinas, al rematar superficial y estéticamente las mismas y a evitar deformaciones en ellas.
Del mismo modo, y en otra realización preferente de la invención, se cuenta con un cuerpo tubular (l1), de configuración tendente al cilindro como en el caso anterior y también preferentemente de polietileno y obtenido mediante extrusión, cuyo cuerpo tubular (l1) se abre también mediante un corte longitudinal (2) , situado en correspondencia con una de sus generatrices.
En esta realización, sin embargo, el cuerpo tubular (l1) presenta unas escotaduras (3') en sus extremos, preferentemente con una configuración trapecial isoscélica que cuenta con un corte oblicuo, truncamiento o chaflán (5) en los vértices que se corresponderían con la base mayor del trapecio situados más alejados del corte longitudinal, tal y como puede verse en las figuras 3 a 6, y que permiten una mejora en la flexión del cuerpo tubular, y por lo tanto en las esquinas del colchón de manera que dicha rigidez se aproxime o sea similar a la del resto del colchón. Además, situados debajo de dichos chaflanes (5) y cerca de los mismos, el cuerpo (l1) cuenta con vaciados o perforaciones
(6) que colaboran en la deformación o flexión del cuerpo
(1') en sentido vertical, debido a la aparición de una franja de escasa altura situada entre el borde superior del cuerpo (1') y los citados vaciados (6), que flexa con facilidad.

Claims

R E I V I N D I C A C I O N E S
Ia.- Esquinera para colchones, que estando especialmente concebida para colchones de muelles y teniendo como finalidad adaptarse y fijarse a dichos muelles en correspondencia con cada una de las esquinas del colchón, participando como medio de deformación elástica, con tendencia a mejorar el acabado externo del colchón, se caracteriza porque consiste en una pieza tubular (1, 1'), preferentemente cilindrica, de polietileno, dotada de una línea de corte (2) en correspondencia con una de sus generatrices, y de amplias escotaduras (3, 3') abiertas hacia sus extremos o embocaduras, de manera que a través de dicha abertura (2) y a través de las escotaduras (3, 3') la pieza (1, 1') se acopla a los muelles (4) del colchón en la esquina correspondiente del mismo.
2 a.- Método de obtención de una esquinera para colchones según la reivindicación Ia, caracterizado porque para una realización preferente de la invención la citada pieza tubular (1') cuenta con cortes oblicuos o chaflanes (5) en los vértices de las escotaduras (3') situados más alejados de la abertura (2) y con vaciados o perforaciones (6) situados bajo dichos cortes (5) que facilitan la flexión de la pieza tubular (1') y por lo tanto de la esquina del colchón en la cual participa dicha pieza tubular (1') .
3a.- Método de obtención de una esquinera para colchones según las reivindicaciones anteriores, caracterizado porque la citada pieza tubular (1) se obtiene por extrusión de un tubo de polietileno, al que posteriormente se somete a una maniobra de apertura, mediante corte longitudinal, en correspondencia con una de sus generatrices, sometiéndose seguidamente dicho cuerpo tubular a una deformación hasta alcanzar una configuración plana en la que, mediante troquelado, se obtienen las escotaduras de sus extremos, recuperando finalmente el cuerpo su configuración tubular primigenia por recuperación elástica del propio material constitutivo del mismo.
