Abstract

The invention relates to a drip-collecting ring for bottles which is used to collect any drops which spill when the liquid in the bottle is being poured. The inventive device comprises a single sheet of semi-rigid, absorbent material. The aforementioned sheet is provided with a hole which is used to hook the device on the neck of the bottle, to which said device remains fixed by means of pressure and without folds (figure 3). Any drops which slide down the neck of the bottle are absorbed by the material of the drip-collecting ring at the point at which said ring is in contact with the neck. Furthermore, any drops which escape and collide with the surface of the ring are also absorbed. The external perimeter of the ring and the hole therein can be produced in different shapes and sizes. Moreover, the surface of the inventive ring can comprise printed elements and holes through which a cord can be passed.
