Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur ADSL-Datenübertragung, vorzugsweise gemäss dem Standard T1.413 oder ITU G992.1, bei dem durch das Auftreten einer Leitungsstörung eine Trainings-Prozedur zur Ermittlung der grösstmöglichen Datenübertragungsrate initiiert wird, wobei auch während einer ungestört verlaufenden Datenübertragungszeit im Anschluss an eine Trainingsphase (T) durch sukzessive Steigerung der genutzten Bitrate auf mindestens einem Übertragungsband und Beobachtung von Fehlerzählern eine möglichst hohe Datenübertragungsrate eingestellt wird, ohne ein neues Training durchzuführen.
