Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de génération d'énergie électrique à partir d'un fluide en écoulement, par exemple de l'eau. Le dispositif comprend une pluralité d'unités génératrices à turbine, qui sont superposées et/ou montées en série et reliées l'une à l'autre pour former au moins un module. La turbine d'une unité génératrice à turbine comporte des aubes de turbine montées rotatives qui, dans la zone de leur extrémité extérieure, sont reliées par liaison de force à un rotor annulaire du générateur de l'unité génératrice à turbine, le stator dudit générateur étant monté concentriquement et solidaire en rotation autour du rotor, dans le module. L'invention concerne également une installation servant à la production d'énergie électrique, ainsi qu'un procédé de transformation d'une telle installation. Un tel module, grâce à la structure selon l'invention, présente un poids et une longueur hors tout qui sont nettement réduits. En outre, étant donné que les couples des unités génératrices à turbine sont réduits, les vibrations des unités génératrices à turbine ou du module, pendant le fonctionnement, et les couples de renversement, lors du levage et de l'abaissement du module, sont évités.
