Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for processing at least one digital image taken by means of a digital photo camera.
  • Digital photo cameras are becoming increasingly popular. These cameras 0 do not use a conventional roll film, rather the captured images are stored digitally in an image data memory on the camera.
  • the image data can be read out from this image data memory for processing in a photo laboratory and a printout can be made on a paper carrier.
  • a printout can be made on a paper carrier.
  • the user reads out the digital image data memory on his own PC and prints the images himself.
  • the storage capacity of a digital image data storage device is limited; as a rule, as many images can be stored in it as on a conventional roll film. If the memory is full, there are two options for the user. 0 Either he has the option of reading out and storing the image data from a memory on a PC that is accessible to him or, if necessary, displaying it in the form of a copy, or he is forced to replace the full image data memory with an empty memory. The full image data memory must then be archived until the user either has a PC available 5 or until he can transfer the memory to a photo laboratory or an appropriate acceptance point for processing.
  • the invention is therefore based on the problem of specifying a method which enables simple and comfortable editing of a digital image or its image data for the user.
  • a communication connection is established in a mobile radio network to a stationary data receiving device for transmitting the digital image data of the image by means of a dial-in module provided on the camera, after which the digital image data is transmitted via the mobile radio via a camera-based transmission module Communication link to the data receiving device, from which the data are transmitted to an image data processing device processing the image data.
