- the function of the jumper 8 is on the one hand to guarantee the maintenance of the star wheel 3 in its position of indication and on the other hand to participate in the tilting. Indeed, at each pulse either of the winding pin 14, or the end of the disarming lever 5, the jumper 8 allows the stroke of a tooth to be ended.
