Abstract

The invention relates to cigarette packet consisting of cardboard or a plastic material. Said packet consists of a prismatic base body (5) and a lid (6) for opening and closing the packet (1) in order to remove smoking articles, in particular cigarettes, which are covered as a block by an interior section (2) that is vapour and aroma-tight. The interior section (2) consists of a blank of a rigid material that is vapour and aroma-tight, which surrounds the block of cigarettes on all sides except for a removal opening (3). In addition, said removal opening (3) can be sealed by a re-sealable adhesive tab (4), which is likewise vapour and aroma-tight.

The invention relates to a cigarette pack made of cardboard or plastic, with a prismatic base body and a cap for opening and closing the pack for the removal of smoking articles, in particular cigarettes, which are encased by an inner part as a cigarette block.

Such a cigarette pack is known for example from US-A-6,164,444. It discloses a folding box which is rectangular in cross section and which contains a cigarette wrapper made of barrier material as the inner winding. This compact and sealed inner winding has a removal opening for the cigarettes, which is closed by a separate label. The barrier material is soft and requires a supporting inner frame to seal the seams, which at the same time protects the internal cigarettes from mechanical damage and thermal stress during the sealing process. Furthermore, the inner frame provides support in the cap area for reclosing the label after a cigarette has been removed, which is achieved in this previously known cigarette pack in that the inner part or the collar in the area of the upper ends of its side walls has tabs which form the support surfaces and thus absorbing the pressure when the adhesive flap is closed again. Alternatively, this document proposes to provide the inner part with a U-shaped collar which surrounds the removal opening in a U-shaped manner when the inner part is folded, and forms a support surface for the adhesive flap of the barrier material due to its attachment to the front wall of the inner part.

However, this known cigarette pack has some disadvantages. So are with the. Hermetic cigarette wrapping involved three separate materials that were individually managed in the packaging process and must be positioned precisely. A one-piece material that fulfills the same purpose but is simple and reliable to process would be advantageous here.

Another disadvantage of US-A-6,164,444 is that an inner frame made of cardboard material is in direct contact with the wrapped cigarettes. Because it is known that tobacco products and in particular cigarettes can absorb foreign odors from cardboard boxes in direct contact, which then lead to a change in smoking habits when smoking. For this reason, attempts are often made to avoid the direct contact of the cigarettes with the carton by adding another layer. Such additional aroma barrier layers are, for example, laminated aluminum foil, metallized paper or similar materials.

The object of the invention is to provide a cigarette pack in which the cigarette block is enclosed in a vapor-tight or aroma-tight manner before use and this vapor and aroma barrier can also be restored after the cigarette has been removed, the pack being intended to be as simple as possible to produce.

To solve this problem, the cigarette pack of the type mentioned with the characterizing features of claim 1 is used.

An inner part 2 is inserted into the base body 5, which in the embodiment shown is a different cross-sectional shape than the base body 5 has, namely is rectangular. The inner part 2 has a removal opening 3 for removing cigarettes when the cap 6 is folded back in the manner shown in FIG. 1 and an adhesive tab 4 is detached from the inner part 2 in the manner also shown.
