Abstract

A device is provided for activation of water in a medium of an electric non-self-maintained glow discharge. The device includes a reaction chamber, which comprises a case (30) that serves as an outer electrode, and a plurality of coaxially arranged inner electrodes (31). A clearance is provided between the inner and outer electrodes for initiation of the glow discharge. A power supply (14) is provided for applying a voltage which comprises an operating impulse voltage and an ionization impulse voltage to the electrodes. A cooling jacket (7) is placed on the outer side of the reaction chamber. Holes (35) are formed in the inner electrodes to allow for the flow of coolant. Injectors (33) are provided for feeding the water to be activated into the reaction chamber so that it flows along the inner surface of the case (30). A means for developing a vacuum inside the reaction chamber is proveded.
