Abstract

Die Erfindung schafft eine optische Breitbandübertragungsvorrichtung und ein Verteilungsverfahren, die insbesondere für Multimedia-Vernetzungen in Mehrfach-Wohnblöcken einsetzbar sind, wobei eine optische Faser (101) als zentrales Element vorhanden ist, die einen ersten optischen Sendeempfänger (102) mit einem zweiten optischen Sendeempfänger (103) verbindet. Mit dieser erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung können Datenströme zwischen einem Versorgungsknoten (104) und einem Benutzerknoten (105) mit hoher Bandbreite übertragen werden. Hierbei beträgt die Übertragungsrate nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren typischerweise 100 Mbs, während mit einer elektrischen Übertragungsleitung nach dem Stand der Technik nur maximal 10 Mbs bei einer gleichen Übertragungslänge (500 bis 1000 m) bereitgestellt werden.
