Abstract
A surface treatment method according to the present invention comprises the step of forming a first primary layer (41) on at least a part of the surface of a base (2), forming a second primary layer (42) on the surface of the first primary layer, forming a third primary layer (43) on the surface of the second-primary layer, and forming a coating layer (3) made of a stainless onto at least a part of the surface of the third primary layer (43). The second primary layer (42) functions as a buffer layer which buffers the potential difference between the first primary layer (41) and the third primary layer (43). The average thickness of the coating layer (3) is preferably in the range of 0.5 to 2.5 υm. This makes it possible to obtain an ornamental part having excellent aesthetic appearance.
