Description

Filterpresse zur Filtration von SuspensionenFilter press for the filtration of suspensions
The invention relates to a filter press for the filtration of suspensions with at least one package of horizontally oriented filter elements mounted in a press frame, a filter chamber being arranged between adjacent filter elements, which is bounded at least on one side by a band-shaped filter medium, and the package of filter elements starting from from a filtration position, in which the filter elements are pressed against one another in a sealing manner, can be transferred into an open position, in which adjacent filter elements are at a distance from each other in the vertical direction.
Such filter presses are generally known under the name "press filter machines" and allow fully automatic operation of a filter press, since the filter cake in the open position of the packet of filter elements can be discharged by a feed movement of the filter belt passing through the packet and falls into special collecting devices on the side next to the filter press , The known filter presses exist both in versions in which a filter chamber is only delimited on one side by the filter medium, and in versions in which each filter chamber is delimited both upwards and downwards by the filter medium. In the latter embodiment, the effective filter area is doubled, which is why the filtration performance is increased to approximately the same extent.
The filtration performance of such filter presses depends primarily on the available filter area, i. H. of the product of the number of filter elements and the filter area per filter element. An increase in filtration performance is only possible within certain limits, because on the one hand the number of filter elements arranged one above the other is limited by the room height at the installation site. On the other hand, the filter area, that is, the size of the individual filter elements, can only be increased up to certain dimensions. In particular, plate-shaped filter elements made of plastic cannot be produced in any size. The connection of individual plastic filter plates to one another by welding has proven to be disadvantageous in continuous operation, since the weld seam forms a potential break and such filter plates can only be hung on the head ends and on the side.
The maximum size of the filter elements is also limited by the fact that during the filter operation in neighboring filter chambers almost inevitably minor There are differences in the chamber pressures. These pressure differences lead to considerable forces in the not inconsiderable filter areas, which in the case of larger pressure differences could lead to plastic deformation of the filter plate or even to a filter plate breakage.
The invention has for its object to further develop a filter press so that the filtration performance can be increased significantly without the risk of deformation or damage to the filter elements.
Starting from a filter press of the type described in the introduction, this object is achieved according to the invention in that at least two packets of filter elements are arranged in a common press frame in the horizontal direction next to and or one behind the other.
In the case of the filter press according to the invention, neither the overall height, ie the H. the number of filter elements arranged one above the other, and the size of the individual filter elements itself increased. Rather, the effective filter area is increased by arranging packets of filter elements next to one another or one behind the other, with all packets being arranged in a single press frame.
The costs for the filter press according to the invention are therefore comparatively low, since on the one hand the available filter elements can be used and on the other hand only a single press frame is required.
For the purpose of further simplifying the construction according to the invention, it is proposed that at least two packets arranged side by side and / or one behind the other in the horizontal direction have a common filter medium. As a result, a common drive of the filter medium and a common washing device and common collecting devices for the dropped filter cake can be used.
In order to be able to use plastic material for the filter elements and at the same time to have a stable receptacle for the deflection devices for the filter medium and also to prevent tension and displacements of the deflection devices in the event of temperature expansions - such as occur with hot filtration - it is provided that the filter elements of at least two adjacent ones arranged in one plane Packages have a common frame in which a number of filter plates corresponding to the number of filter elements is each mounted with marginal play so that different thermal expansions of the filter plate and frame can be compensated for, and deflection rollers for the filter medium are attached to the frame.
In order to enable the filter plate to be supported as far as possible inside the frame, each filter plate can be surrounded by a frame leg on all end faces.
The invention is further developed so that adjacent filter elements overlap one another in the horizontal direction. As a result, the penetration of filter cakes into gap areas between adjacent packets can be avoided or significantly reduced.
A particularly advantageous and structurally easy to carry out embodiment consists in that L-shaped profiles are fastened to mutually facing end faces of the filter elements, the horizontally extending legs of which overlap.
In order to keep the width of the band-shaped filter medium small and thereby avoid warping, it is particularly advantageous if the filter elements are rectangular and several filter elements with their narrow sides are arranged one behind the other and have a common filter medium that can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the filter elements ,
Es zeigtThe invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment of a filter press, which is shown in the drawing. It shows

Fig. 4 shows a longitudinal section along the line IV through two filter elements arranged one behind the other. The filter press 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 serves for the filtration of suspensions and has a press frame 2 which comprises an upper yoke 3, a lower yoke 4, feet 5 and a guide frame 5 '.
Die Filterpresse 1 besitzt vier Pakete A, B, C, D von Filterelementen 6, die horizontal ausgerichtet sind und innerhalb jedes Paketes A, B, C, D vertikal übereinander gestapelt sind. The filter press 1 has four packages A, B, C, D of filter elements 6, which are aligned horizontally and are stacked vertically one above the other within each package A, B, C, D.
In the closed state, a filter chamber is arranged between each of two adjacent filter elements 6 in the vertical direction, which is bounded by a band-shaped filter medium 7 toward the lower filter element 6.
In Figure 1, the filter press 1 is shown in an open position of the packets A, B, C, D of filter plates, in which there is a discharge distance 8 between adjacent filter elements 6 in the vertical direction. The band-shaped filter medium 7 runs zigzag in the spaces between adjacent filter elements 6 and is deflected with the aid of deflection rollers 9, the bearing arms of which are not shown for reasons of clarity. Furthermore, a filter belt washing system 10 and a filter belt drive 11 are shown schematically in FIG.
Das Filtrat gelangt über Filtratablaufschläuche 15 in Filtratablaufrohre 16.In a filtration position of the packets A, B, C, D, not shown in the figures, the filter elements 6 and the filter medium 7 running between them are pressed against one another with the aid of four hydraulic cylinders 12. In the closed position, the filter chambers are fed to the filter chambers via suspension tubes 13 and flexible suspension hoses 14 starting therefrom. The filtrate passes through filtrate drain hoses 15 into filtrate drain pipes 16.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the band-shaped filter medium 7 has such a width 17 that the filter medium 7 covers the packets A and C as well as B and D lying next to one another perpendicular to the direction of movement thereof. Each filter element 6 in the four packets A, B, C, D has a rectangular filter plate 18 with a filter mirror 18 'shown hatched horizontally. Four filter plates 18 arranged within one plane are surrounded by a common rectangular frame 19 which has two central struts 20 and 21 which are at right angles to one another. Each of the filter plates 18 is connected on its opposite longitudinal sides 22 to two and on the opposite end faces 23 each with a pin-shaped connecting element 24 to the frame 19 or the central struts 20 and 21. Due to the filter plates 18 on all sides surrounding play S, different expansions - due to an increase in temperature during the filtration - between the filter plates 18 made of plastic, in particular polypropylene, and the frame 19 made of steel can be compensated for.
As can be seen from FIG. 4 in conjunction with FIG. 3, an L-shaped profile 25 and 26 is arranged on facing end faces 23 of the filter plates 18, the upper horizontally extending legs 27 and 28 of which overlap one another. This prevents filter cakes or other deposits from getting into the space between packages C and D (or A and B).
