Abstract

L'invention concerne une connexion câblée point par point entre un premier et un second points séparés par une vaste étendue d'eau comprenant une première région d'eau peu profonde et une seconde région d'eau relativement profonde. Plusieurs conduits sont présents du premier point, par une première région de la vaste étendue, jusqu'à un point terminal au large situé entre le premier et le second points. Les conduits sont de préférence enfouis dans les fonds marins afin d'éviter d'éventuels dégâts. On place au moins un premier câble parmi les différents conduits afin d'établir une connexion entre le premier point et le point terminal au large. Le premier câble est connecté au second câble au point terminal au large afin de créer la connexion câblée point par point. Selon un mode de réalisation, le point terminal au large se situe sur le plateau continental à proximité de la transition avec la zone d'eau profonde. On peut installer le câble entre le premier point et le point terminal au large avec une certaine facilité en passant ledit câble par un conduit disponible. Ceci permet d'éviter le procédé coûteux et très long qui autorise généralement l'installation de câbles près des côtes.
