Abstract

The inventive device for removing hydrocarbon pollutants from objects relates to equipment for washing, cleaning and degreasing surfaces from liquid hydrocarbons, including petrol and petroleum products, vegetable and animal oils and fats and can be used for various industries and branches of the economy for cleaning tanks, reservoirs, parts and assemblies of machines. Said device comprises cleaning liquid supply means consisting of pumps and a system of valves and pipes, heat exchangers and a unit for washing out the hydrocarbon pollutants which is embodied in the form of a washing plant. The inventive device is characterised in that the cleaning liquid is based on a modified sodium salt of polyacrylic acid. Said device also comprises an additional reservoir for preparing the cleaning liquid and correcting the concentration of the components thereof and processing elements for three-stage separation of said cleaning liquid. The geometrical parameters of the washing plant and the processing elements are chosen in relation to the chemical and physical properties of the cleaning liquid.
