Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Verbesserung einer Kanalabschätzung eines in einem mit einer adaptiven, eine Mehrzahl von M Antennenelementen umfassenden Antenne arbeitenden Funk-Kommunikationssystem übertragenen Funksignals, mit den Schritten: Bilden einer räumlichen Kovarianzmatrix anhand einer Ausgangs-Kanalabschätzung, wobei die Ausgangs-Kanalabschätzung die Form eines Vektors in einem M-dimensionalen Vektorraum hat; Ermitteln einer Anzahl Ln von Eigenvektoren der räumlichen Kovarianzmatrix, die kleiner als die Mehrzahl M der Antennenelemente ist; Berechnen einer Projektion der Ausgangs-Kanalabschätzung auf den von den Ln Eigenvektoren aufgespannten Unterraum; Ersetzen der Ausgangs-Kanalabschätzung durch die Projektion.
