Par rapport aux connecteurs existants, l'objet de l'invention présente les avantages suivants: - augmentation de la fiabilité de mise en contact; - réduction sensible de l'effort de connexion-déconnexion; - réduction de la résistance de transition des paires de contacts; - réduction du coût des contacts grâce au remplacement des revêtements hautement conducteurs plus onéreux des contacts (or, platine, palladium, argent) par des matériaux moins chers; - augmentation de la résistance des connecteurs aux vibrations et aux chocs, ce qui est particulièrement important en industrie automobile, aéronautique ou aérospatiale, etc.; En outre, le connecteur de l'invention permet de résoudre le problème de montage (de fixation) des cartes dans des structures d'un niveau plus élevé (blocs, panneaux, etc.)
