Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Übertragen von Daten zwischen zwei Kommunikationssystem-Einrichtungen (MSC(B), HLR(A)) mittels eines Punkt-zu-Punkt-Protokolls (SCTP). Für die Punkt-zu-Punkt-Verbindung wird insbesondere ein SCTP-Protokoll als Übertragungsprotokoll verwendet.Um die Belastung von Stationen bei der Verwaltung von Punkt-zu-Punkt-Verbindungen zu reduzieren, wird vorgeschlagen, die Verbindung der beiden Kommunikationssystem-Einrichtungen (MSC(B), HLR(A)) über zumindest eine Übertragungseinrichtung (SCTP-TP) aufzubauen.
