Abstract

The invention relates to a return roller with cleaning disks for heavy-duty, bulk product conveyor belts such as those used to convey gravel, sand, coal, aggregates and the like. The aim of said return roller with cleaning disks is to keep the belt inclined from the center toward the ends to prevent the material spilled on the belt from remaining thereon while directly preventing wear of said belt and the transmission pulleys. It also makes it possible to clean the belt to remove impregnations of abrasive residues of conveyed material. The invention is characterized in that a plurality of disks and nipples that are joined to one another consecutively and alternately are held together and supported by long screw that is inserted through the cavity of said elements. The disks comprise a cylindrical structure with an oblong protuberant screw while the couplings having a cylindrical structure comprise an inner stop close to each of the ends. The disks with protuberances in the shape of oblong rings having a smaller diameter are placed on the ends of the roller while the disks with the protuberances in the shape of oblong rings having a bigger diameter are placed in the center.
