Neben stationär befestigten Stegen, die sich nicht an den Wasserspiegel anpassen können, gibt es auch Schwimmstege, die den Abstand zwischen Wasseroberfläche und Steglauffläche konstant halten. hydraulisch bewirkt. Neben den an verschiedenen Stellen (z. B. an jeder Deckseite) in das Deck integrierten Gangways 7, kann auch das gesamte Boot (Passagierboot z.B. am Bodensee, Hausboot) behindertengerecht beispielsweise mit Aufzügen, automatischen Schiebetüren 8 und/ oder sanitären Anlagen ausgestattet sein.
