- the emergency pumps mentioned above are fixed to the fixed structure, in areas close to the extreme points of the maximum travel of the cars, one of said emergency pumps being operated when the stroke of the pistons corresponding to the pumping cylinders has a excessive de-centering towards one of the ends, which can be produced, for example, by a wave of greater height.
