Abstract

Ein Brennstoffzellenstrapel, insbesondere ein Niedertemperatur-Brennstoffzellenstapel, bei dem die Einzelzellen derart angeordnet sind, dass jeweils zwei gleiche Elektroden benachbart angeordnet sind. Dadurch lassen sich die sonst für jede Elektrode benötigten Elektrodenräume erheblich reduzieren (fast die Hälfte). Der erfindungsgemässe Brennstoffzellenstapel spart gegenüber dem Stand der Technik Material und Platz ein, ohne Einbussen in der Effizienz der Brennstoffzelle. In einer bevorzugten Ausgestaltung weist der Brennstoffzellenstapel ein Mittel zur Ableitung des entstehenden Gases aus dem Anodenraum auf. Dies wirkt sich positiv auf die Strömungsverhältnisse in den Brennstoffleitungen und an den Elektroden aus.
