Description

PAIR GLASS STRUCTURE WITH AIR INHALING AND DISCHARGING
PART
TECHNICAL FIELD The present inv ention relates to a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging pait More particularl) the present inv ention relates to a pair glass structuie with an air inhaling and discharging part installed in a curtain wall structure that can adjust the volume change of an air space existing on the pair glass due to a temperatuie difference according to a change of seasons and previously prevents the deformation of the pair glass. thereby protecting the image projected on the wall surface of external glass from being distorted
BACKGROUND ART
As buildings become large and high recently, external walls thereof are constructed in a method of curtain wall construction where no direct load is applied to the external wall A curtain wall structure is made in such a manner that all of the external wall components made of sheet glass aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and asbestos materials are manufactured in a factor}, delπ ered to a construction site, and fixed on the framework of a building by means of a bolt, etc Particularly, in case where the entire wall surface in the curtain wall structure is constructed with glass, the glass is formed on the whole wall surface of the building In this case, the glass wall surface has a simple function of transmitting the light and further, it projects the surrounding scene on the building with mirror effects according to reflection thereof to thereby exhibit various appearances based upon the condition and time of the light, which forms the external appearance of the building
To so e insulation and noise problems co entionalh suffered in general sheet glass, pair glass as glass for a curtain wall structure is generally used The pair glass is formed by two sheets of glass separated by a predetermined interval by using a spacer while forming a dry air space or inactive gas space therebetween.
However, the volume of the dry air space in the interior of the pair glass is expanded or contracted as the temperature of an external air rises or falls, which causes the pair glass to be undesirably deformed, thereby making it difficult to maintain the smooth state of the pair glass. The deformation of the pair glass does not affect to the wall surface of the building, but may cause the image projected on the glass wall surface of the building to be distorted, which results in the damage of the external appearance of the building. At this time, if air volume as much as the expanded air volume is discharged, the deformation of the pair glass can be protected. Therefore, the present inventor proposes a novel pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part capable of adjusting an amount of air according to the volume change of an air space within the pair glass.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part capable of adjusting an amount of air according to the volume change of an air space within pair glass.
To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, there is provided a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part, which includes: a pair glass forming a dry air space in an interior thereof: a curtain wall fixing frame for fixing the pair glass; the air inhaling and discharging part connected to the dry air space formed in the interior of the pair glass; and an air bag connected to the air inhaling and discharging part and installed in the interior of the space of the curtain wall fixing frame. The pair glass is generally used for the purposes of insulation or sound absorption. In more detail, two or more sheets of glass are separated by predetermined intervals by using a spacer and then, an air drier is installed in the spacer to form a dry- air space between the sheet glass. The dry air space is filled generally with dry air. but may be filled with an inactive gas. in consideration of the purpose and function of a building.
The curtain wall fixing frame, which is the same as for fixing a precast concrete-based or metal-based panel as used in a curtain wall structure, is used with an aluminum extruding bar. The curtain wall fixing frame functions to fix the pair glass. The air inhaling and discharging part is connected to the dry air space of the pair glass, for inhaling and discharging the volume of the dry air space changed according to a temperature variation, thereby' enabling the dry air space to maintain a constant volume. The air inhaling and discharging part may be passed through the spacer of the pair glass in every direction, thus to be connected to the dry air space. Also, the number of the air inhaling and discharging parts may be increased or decreased according to the position.
The air bag, which is installed in the interior of the curtain wall fixing frame, is connected to the air inhaling and discharging part to thereby retain or make up for the air absorbed by the air inhaling and discharging part. Of course, the air bag may be connected to two or more air inhaling and discharging parts. The air bag is made of a strongly expandable material that can be elastically adjusted in size in accordance with the amount of air absorbed. The air bag is installed in the space of the curtain wall fixing frame, and a single air bag or a plurality of air bags can be installed on a desired place(s) of the pair glass.
While an embodiment of the present invention where the air bag is installed within the curtain wall fixing frame in the building having an external wall constructed as a glass curtain wall has been described, but the air bag where the amount of air absorbed and discharged to and from the air inhaling and discharging part is retained may be separated from the pair glass and buried in the installation space of the interior and exterior of the building or in the interior of a ceiling or a wall body of the building. At this time, the air bag is placed into an insulation box or is subjected to an insulation treatment, in order not to react to an external temperature variation and then, the pair glass with the air inhaling and discharging part connected to the dry air space is installed. After that, the air inhaling and discharging part is connected to the air bag, thereby completing the formation of the pair glass structure with the air inhaling and discharging part according to the present invention. The above procedure is obvious to those skilled in the art.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig. 1 is a sectional view illustrating a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part according to an embodiment of the present invention; and Fig. 2 is a sectional view illustrating a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part according to another embodiment of the present invention.
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
According to preferred embodiments of the present invention, an explanation of a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part of the present invention will be depicted with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a sectional view illustrating a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part according to an embodiment of the present invention in a curtain wall structure. First, the pair glass 1 with the air inhaling and discharging part 6 is connected to an air bag 8 and then, the air bag 8 is disposed on the inside of a curtain wall fixing frame 5. After that, the pair glass 1 is inserted on the curtain wall fixing frame 5 and is then fixed on the curtain wall fixing frame 5 by using silicon caulking.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view illustrating a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part according to another embodiment of the present invention. In this preferred embodiment, two sheets of pair glass are installed up and down, while a single curtain wall fixing frame intervenes therebetween. In more detail, the first and second pair glass 1 and 1 ' are disposed side by side up and down or left and right and the air bag 8 is installed within the curtain wall fixing frame 5 connecting the first and second pair glass 1 and 1 ' . Therefore, the single air bag 8 is shared with the first and second pair glass 1 and 1 ' . A first air inhaling and discharging part 6 is mounted on the top of the first pair glass 1 and then connected to the air bag 8. Next, the air bag 8 is disposed in the interior of the curtain wall fixing frame 5. After that, the first pair glass 1 is fixed on the curtain wall fixing frame 5.
A second air inhaling and discharging part 6 ' that is mounted on the bottom of the second pair glass 1 ' is connected to another part of the air bag 8. Next, the second pair glass 1 ' is erected on the curtain wall fixing frame 5 and then fixed thereon. As a result, an amount of air within the two sheets of pair glass can be adjusted with the single air bag 8.
If a temperature rises, the volume of the dry air space 2 of the pair glass becomes expanded. The amount of the air expanded is moved to the air bag 8 through the air inhaling and discharging part 6 connected to the dry air space 2 of the pair glass 1 . If the temperature falls, the air stored in the air bag 8 moves to the dry air space 2. As a consequence, the volume of the dry air space 2 within the pair glass 1 can be constantly maintained. At this time, if the air bag 8 has a high expansion, it can be elastically expanded according to the amount of air absorbed, and when an air expansion is decreased as the temperature falls, the air stored in the air bag 8 is moved to the dry air space 2. Thereby, the air bag 8 returns to its original size.
As clearly discussed above, a pair glass structure with an air inhaling and discharging part according to the present invention disposes the air inhaling and discharging part in a dry air space of the pair glass, thereby enabling the volume change of a dry air space to be adjusted, which prevents the pair glass from being deformed Since the image projected on a building is not distorted, therefore, the external appearance of the building can be
