Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif (10) de communication d'informations relatives à un fournisseur de biens ou services, entre un réseau de télécommunication (60) et un poste mobile (20) situé à un emplacement physique approximatif. Ce dispositif comprend un centre de commutation mobile (250) comportant une mémoire (70) de base de données, ainsi qu'un module de détermination de distance (300), communiquant de manière électronique avec la mémoire (70) et conçu pour comparer l'emplacement du poste mobile avec des emplacements représentés par des adresses d'emplacement physique (71, 75) conservées dans ladite mémoire (70). Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes consistant: à recevoir une demande de segment d'information (30), à déterminer l'emplacement approximatif (40) du poste mobile (20), à explorer la mémoire (70) de la base de données afin d'obtenir un ensemble de segments d'information sélectionnés (72, 77) qui correspondent à la demande, en même temps qu'un ensemble d'emplacements d'adresses physiques associées, à comparer l'emplacement (40) du poste mobile avec les emplacements représentés par l'ensemble d'adresses d'emplacements physiques, afin d'obtenir un sous-ensemble proche de tels emplacements, et à transmettre au poste mobile (20) une réponse (33), notamment au moins l'une des adresses physiques du sous-ensemble. L'invention comprend également un réseau (60) lequel comporte une interface (290) de télécommunication, une mémoire (70) de base de données communiquant avec l'interface (290), ainsi qu'un module de détermination de distance (300) communiquant avec la mémoire (70).
