Nitrogen gas (N 2 ) is filled m the sealed bag. The same procedure is repeated on the second rose group but not using the water tube.
  • the keeping and packaging method in accordance with the present invention enables the flowers to maintain freshness over three weeks without the water tube. As compared with the conventional treatment using chemical agents, it increases the life span of the products by at least two times .
  • the first and second rose groups have discharged a slight amount of carbon dioxide for 15 to 20 days, regardless of the use of the water tube. Carbon dioxide is generated by breathing of the plants. As a result, the roses kept and packaged m this example almost stop breathing.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de conservation et d'emballage de produits agricoles, qui permet de conserver la fraîcheur des produits pendant une durée prolongée en utilisant une structure de conservation et d'emballage, à savoir un sac fermé rempli d'un gaz de protection. Des fleurs cultivées dans un site de culture et des produits agricoles non transformés, tels que des légumes, des fruits ou des plantes, sont emballés de manière fixe, selon la meilleure technique classique exploitant de façon optimale la fraîcheur et la forme des contenus, lors de leur transport vers le consommateurs par le biais des intermédiaires, grossistes ou détaillants. Selon l'invention, les produits agricoles (les fleurs en particulier), tels que légumes, fruits ou plantes, même distribuées en grande quantité et avant l'heure, ne se fanent pas, si bien que le consommateur reçoit des produits agricoles frais qui conservent toutes leurs valeurs nutritives. De plus, dans le cas où les détaillants ne reçoivent pas les produits agricoles dans les délais, ou que ces produits sont laissés sur un présentoir pendant une longue durée, le consommateur pourra encore les acheter sans hésitation dans la mesure où ils restent frais et conservent toutes leurs valeurs nutritives.
