Abstract
The invention relates to a method for operation of the convertible top of a vehicle by means of moving hydraulic units. The aim of the invention is to reliably and precisely record the position of the moving hydraulic units and, thus, of the convertible top in a simple and cheap manner. The aim is achieved by fitting each hydraulic unit with a sensor in the form of a displacement transducer, whose output signals are analysed by a control unit.
