  • the coil is provided with a number of outlet ports 39-46 for the refrigerant.
  • the outlet ports 39-46 are provided with an opening for each straight coil section 47, 48 between the curved coil sections 49, 50, i.e. between both opposite walls 6, 7 of the freezer.
  • the openings are essentially arranged in the middle of the straight sections, i.e. in the middle of the freezing-compartment 3.
  • the openings are schematically shown as slit formed openings, but trials have shown that the openings advantageously can be circular and for example have a diameter of 0,3 mm.
  • the openings are arranged on the upper side of the cylinder-shaped envelope surface of the coil, i.e. turned upwards, towards the suspension devices 19 and the upper part 2.
  • the straight coil sections 47 are situated straight below each suspension member 27 associated therewith, i.e. so that a coil section 47 is provided for each suspension member 27.
  • the refrigerant flows in an upwards direction in the space 55, 56, along the inside of the cooling elements up to the suspension bars, that is to say the central part of the cooling elements, where it turns in order to flow downwards along the sides of the cooling elements down towards the inside 37 of the bottom 4 of the freezer, see arrows regarding the flow in Fig. 4.
  • the valve is kept open for a short time which is adjusted to the amount of water which shall be freezed. For example, the valve is kept open and the outflow or the discharge of refrigerant occurs in approximately one minute in the event of a weight of water of up to approximately 2 kg, e.g. in two intervals of 20 seconds each with an intermission of approximately half a minute.
