Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé d'obtention de particules d'oxyde métallique colloïdal et de particules de silice recouvertes d'oxyde métallique. Ce procédé consiste à agiter une composition aqueuse comprenant un matériau de particules germes insolubles par solvant d'un diamètre compris entre 0,1 νm et 10 νm environ et un composé métallique soluble par solvant pour obtenir une dispersion du matériau de particules germes insoluble par solvant et des ions métalliques solubles par solvant. On ajoute une base à la dispersion de manière déposer un revêtement d'oxyde métallique sur le matériau de particules germes insoluble par solvant et, par là même, former une suspension de particules germes agrégées à revêtement d'oxyde métallique. En général, on agite la suspension de particules de manière à former des particules germes à revêtement d'oxyde métallique et des particules d'oxyde métallique renfermant un colloïde, récupérées sans agitation ou utilisées telles quelles.
