Abstract

La présente invention concerne, de manière générale, de nouvelles compositions de substances, ainsi que des méthodes d'utilisation desdites compositions à des fins de recherche ou à des fins thérapeutiques. L'invention concerne, en particulier, des compositions qui a) imitent les brins β, b) bloquent la dimérisation en feuillets β des protéines, c) bloquent les interactions du type feuillets β entre protéines et/ou interagissent avec les protéines par formation de feuillets β, ainsi que d) des méthodes de recherche ou de conception de composés qui imitent les brins et/ou les feuillets β, e) des méthodes de traitement de maladies ou de troubles consistant à administrer à des patients humains ou vétérinaires des doses thérapeutiquement efficaces de ces composés et f) des méthodes d'utilisation d'un nouveau groupe protecteur (2,7-di-tert-butylfluorénylméthoxycarbonyl(Fmoc*)) dans la synthèse de peptides.
