Abstract

The present invention pertains to the field of fire-fighting techniques and relates to a foam generator comprising a cylindrical body with flanges at the ends thereof, wherein one of said flanges comprises a nozzle for supplying an aqueous solution of a foaming agent. The side surface of the body also includes a radial duct for supplying air. The body includes a cylindrical mixing chamber that widens at the outlet as well as a conical diffuser. The mixing chamber is arranged so that its longitudinal axis is offset relative to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle. A load is attached to the mixing chamber so as to leave a gap relative to the body. In a first embodiment, the diffuser is connected by its lager base to the flange of the body which is opposite the nozzle. In a second embodiment, the mixing chamber is mounted inside the body using an additional support in the shape of a thin-wall truncated cone.
