By making the phases almost the same in the overband and almost the opposite phases outside the passband, a SAW filter having a flat, wide passband and excellent attenuation outside the passband can be obtained.
- phase difference between the first and second filters must be almost opposite in the frequency domain where attenuation characteristics near the pass band are required, but far from the pass band. In a frequency region far away, even if the phases are not opposite, a sufficient attenuation characteristic can be obtained by the amplitude characteristics of the first and second filter tracks.
