Abstract

The present invention pertains to the field of construction materials and relates to the production of foamed thermal-insulation materials that can be used in the following applications: in the fire protection of structures in thermal powerplants for insulating boilers and steam ducts; for the thermal insulation of coatings in building structures; for the inner finish of premises onboard ships or in passenger carriages; in the construction of vegetable storage chambers and refrigerators; in fire-resistant safes; and in fire-proof lifts. This silicate composition for producing a foamed thermal-insulation material comprises the following ingredients: a binder consisting of liquid glass; a refractory filler consisting of hollow colloid microspheres; a silicon-containing solidification agent; and a modification agent consisting of a mixture comprising simple salts of alkaline metals and oxygen-containing copper salts (II). The ingredients of this composition are selected in the following amounts: from 2 to 5 wt % of the modification agent; from 0.6 to 1.8 wt % of simple slats of alkaline metals; from 1.4 to 3.2 wt % of oxygen-containing copper salts (II); from 0.01 to 1.5 wt % of the silicon-containing solidification agent; from 30 to 40 wt % of colloid microspheres; the balance consisting of liquid glass.
