Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a snow-clearing device.
  • Equipment for clearing snow is generally distinguished into bladed snowplows and rotary snowplows, which are in turn divided into single-stage and two-stage snowplows.
  • the former are constituted by a body, with a front snow inlet and with an upper outlet for expelling the snow, and by an axial rotary cutter which is accommodated in the body and which, by rotating, collects the snow from the front inlet and conveys it to the outlet.
  • an almost vertical discharge pipe rises from the upper outlet and can be directed so as to remove the snow in the form of a jet.
  • Two-stage snowplows are constituted by a front rotor with vanes which rotates at high speed, is interposed between the rotary cutter and the outlet, and propels the snow, collected by the rotary cutter, through the discharge pipe at considerably greater distances than single-stage snowplows.
  • Particular single-stage snowplows are also known which are constituted by a drum with a front circular inlet and a lateral outlet which is provided with a rotary front turbine which performs the same action as the already described rotary cutter.
  • the drum has two spade-shaped front tabs which are provided with vertically adjustable sliders.
  • both single-stage and two-stage snowplows are in the form of accessories, like cutter bars, harrows et cetera, that can be applied to self-propelled cultivators without an onboard driver.
  • Small motorized vehicles are also known which are provided with a single- or two-stage snowplow and can be used only to clear snow.
  • a first drawback of these devices is the fact that the purchase of a snowplow, and of the associated self-propelled cultivator, entails a significant financial commitment. Such commitment is justified if the self-propelled cultivator is also used for other activities, for example for gardening or for tilling small plots of land, but is found to be excessively onerous in urban environments, for example for shopkeepers, for operators of fuel stations, et cetera, since the self-propelled cultivator remains unused for the remaining part of the year. On the other hand, the purchase of a dedicated means also has the same disadvantages.
  • a second drawback is the fact that the use of the snowplow is strictly related to the constancy of snowfall, and while the snowplow may be used frequently one year, no need arises for it the next year.
  • An aim of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks noted above in conventional snowplows by providing a snow-clearing device which is inexpensive, compact and easily usable even by unskilled operators.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a device which allows quick assembly and disassembly with the aid of a small number of commonly known tools.
