  • the glider 10 is resting at the bottom of the slide frame assembly 7, and because of the working action of it, the lifting device 9, will move upwards and the pivot point 22 and arm 9 will conveniently and automatically fit behind the lips 8.
  • central upright 1, note item 1 & 11 are integral, will travel upwards, and accordingly outer uprights 2 & 3 will slot automatically into channels 16 of integrated support columns 6.
  • the webbing material 17 on the inside and weatherproof cover on outside of the pivotal assembly, will become taut.
  • the locking device 24 is operated to engage into uplifting device arm 9, locking it in place into slide assembly 7.
  • Fig 2 is a schematic drawing of the place into which the lock arm 9 has to lock. It operates as follows: handle 12 can go in two motions, first it will turn bolt 13 a quarter turn, because of the shape of the slot 18 made in the cylinder 19 into which bolt 13, and it will work against torsion spring 22. Accordingly, it has to slide or be moved away from the slide frame assembly 7 in order to release arm 9 and reverse to lock it in.
  • Bolt 13 will glide in or out of the bore 23 made in arm , the slot where handle 12 glides into a security stop, bolt 13 will never slide out of arm 9, when engaged, because of the upwards movement of handle 12 is restricted by gravity, but then as well there is the force of the compression torsion spring 22 as an extra security factor.
  • a key locking device 24 is mounted so that bolt 13 cannot glide sideways when key locked.
  • Fig. 6 illustrates a pivotal integrated support column 6.
  • a restraining device 25 will ensure that it will stay in the correct lined position for safety, accordingly side boards 31 are swung upwards and a bolt 15 of a locking device 14 will glide into bore 26 which will line up because of the restraining device 25 creating the correct location, and the side boards 31 are now locked in.
  • Fig. 7 illustrates that when the pivotal arm assembly is collapsed as shown in Fig. 5, a pivot point 28 is located below the roller wheels 29. This will enable the collapsed arm assembly (Fig. 5) to be pivoted away from the load receiving tray 30, so as to displace the collapsed pivotal arm assembly (Fig. 5) to clear the required area.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de fermeture latérale pour camions à plateau (30) de chargement, lequel système comprend une structure de support intégrée pourvue d'un système de rouleaux, des colonnes (6) de support, plusieurs sections de fermeture latérale disposées le long de chaque côté du plateau (30), chaque section de fermeture latérale comprenant des bras (27) pivotants, un ensemble à l'épreuve des intempérie et un panneau latéral inférieur (31) coopérant avec ledit ensemble de manière à assurer, dans un première situation, une fermeture latérale protégée et sécurisée en position de déplacement déployée, et dans une seconde situation de rabattement, un accès libre au plateau (30). L'ensemble à l'épreuve des intempéries comprend un dispositif de levage à poignée fixé sur un élément (1) vertical sensiblement central pourvu d'un mécanisme (5) télescopique de contrepoids, destiné à faciliter le déploiement ou le rabattement des bras pivotants (27) et de l'ensemble à l'épreuve des intempéries. Le panneau latéral inférieur (31) comporte des mécanismes (14) de verrouillage destinés à bloquer ledit panneau en position de déplacement, et un mécanisme (24) de verrouillage supplémentaire servant à bloquer l'élément (1) vertical central toujours en position de déplacement.
