Abstract

Cette invention concerne des dispositifs servant à envoyer par impulsions et à pulvériser des substances d'extinction d'incendies, lesquels comprennent un tube éjecteur (1) comportant un clapet à ressort (23) à son extrémité de sortie (3), un réservoir de gaz comprimé (4), une soupape anti-retour (6) et une chambre de retenue (10) connectée à la conduite (11) du gaz. Ces dispositifs permettent d'atteindre une vitesse et une énergie élevées, et assurent une pulvérisation efficace des substances d'extinction d'incendies lors de leur éjection par impulsions. Ces résultats sont obtenus grâce à la forme spéciale de la cavité interne du tube éjecteur (1) qui se rapproche du profil d'une buse de Laval, et à la pression inverse du clapet à ressort (23) ou, encore, grâce à la rapidité d'action de la soupape anti-retour (6) qui se présente sous forme de cylindre creux. La tête (7) de la soupape (6) obture l'orifice de sortie (5) du réservoir de gaz (4) sur le côté externe de celui-ci. Lors de l'ouverture de la soupape (6), on assiste ainsi à la formation d'une fente annulaire dans laquelle le flux de gaz sortant est dirigé du centre vers l'extérieur. Les surfaces du dispositif obturées par la soupape (6) comportent des protubérances annulaires (30) qui, dans leur ensemble, vont assurer un effet d'avalanche lors de l'ouverture de la soupape anti-retour (6) et une rapidité d'action de cette dernière inférieure à 1 milliseconde. Ce système prévoit également un mode de fonctionnement commandé ou automatique du dispositif à une fréquence voulue des impulsions d'éjection des substances d'extinction d'incendies.
