Abstract
Cette invention se rapporte au domaine de la construction et à la protection de l'environnement, et peut être utilisée en qualité de matériaux de construction ainsi qu'en qualité de matière de charge dans les filtres biologiques de systèmes servant à la purification en profondeur d'eaux usées, d'eau potable et de rejets par ventilation de substances polluantes. Cette invention concerne plus précisément un matériau céramique à haute porosité dénommé «Redoxite» qui comprend une matière première argileuse enrichie et moulée comportant des pores ouverts en surface ainsi que des pores internes et fermés en profondeur, lesdits pores ayant une surface rugueuse et développée complexe. Ce matériau possède une porosité globale allant jusqu'à 95 %, une densité volumétrique allant jusqu'à 1250 kg/m3, une résistance à la compression allant jusqu'à 22 Mpa, une conductivité thermique allant jusqu'à 0,07 watts/(m.K) et une capacité d'absorption sonore allant jusqu'à 0,85. Le procédé de fabrication du matériau céramique à haute porosité «Redoxite» consiste à préparer un moulage plastique de granules d'argile, à les sécher, à les disposer couche par couche sous forme de strate dans des moules, et à les soumettre à un traitement thermique de manière à les faire gonfler.
