Abstract

The invention concerns an armrest (1) consisting of an elongated part which, having two ends (1A, 1B), is supported by the seat structure (3A) at one end (1A) which it has at the seat (3) back. The invention is characterised in that it comprises at least elastic means (5) designed to cause the armrest elastic collapse when a load directed downwards and whereof the intensity exceeds a predetermined value is applied on said armrest.
