Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une machine à papier et à un procédé de fabrication d'une bande de papier bouffant structuré. Ladite machine comporte une section humide (2), une section presse (3), une section de séchage (4) et une garniture de transport de bande (22) passant autour d'un dispositif d'aspiration (23) disposé à proximité d'une courroie imperméable lisse (16) dans la section presse pour la création d'un point de transfert (40). Conformément à l'invention, des organes de structuration (A; B) conçus pour structurer la bande de papier sont disposés entre la section presse et la section de séchage. Ces organes de structuration comportent soit (A) ladite garniture se présentant sous la forme d'une table plate perméable et possédant une structure constituée de parties superficielles en creux (35) et en bosses (36), et notamment de points charnière en quantité représentant 25 à 150 points charnière par cm2, et un dispositif d'aspiration (25) qui, lorsqu'il crée une dépression de 40 à 80 kPa, aspire la bande vers le côté structuré de la table plate de sorte que le papier adopte la structure de ladite table plate, la table plate fonctionnant à une vitesse inférieure ou égale à la vitesse de la courroie, ou (B) une râcle à crêper (26) qui est placée dans un espace situé entre la bande et la garniture et se trouve en contact permettant le crêpage avec la courroie de manière à relâcher la bande au cours d'un plissage simultané. Ledit dispositif d'aspiration possède un espace d'aspiration (27) conçu pour l'aspiration initiale de la bande permettant de positionner celle-ci fermement sur la garniture en vue de son transfert sur un cylindre de séchage. La garniture assurant le transport de la bande fonctionne alors à une vitesse qui est inférieure à la vitesse de la courroie.
