Description

Title: Working Machine This invention relates to a mobile working machine for working stationary, big objects, for instance when manufacturing new and repairing existing stators for power stations, the working machine being designed regarding the size in such way that it can be taken out to that place where it shall be used, for instance the place of the power station and there carry out necessary working operations.
According to known technique when working, for instance turning, milling, drilling, grinding, reaming, boring and/or threading, big objects like for instance stators for power stations, these one in form of parts have been taken to a working machine which is stationarily mounted in a machine hall. This type of handling is expensive, because partly is the big, heavy working machine expensive to purchase, partly becomes the working itself of the different parts of the object circumstantial and expensive.
Thus, this invention relates to mobile working machine which is specially designed in order to be able to make possible the mentioned workings of big, stationary objects. The invention shall be described in more detail below with reference to accompanying drawings, where Fig. 1 shows a preferred embodiment of the new invention, provided with a working unit, Fig. 2 shows the embodiment according to fig. 1 but with a modified placing of the working unit, and Fig. 3 shows the embodiment according to fig. 1 but with a further modified placing of the working unit.
Referring to Fig. 1 is shown there the new working machine with in the figure essentially vertical extension. This machine comprises a lower part 1 which is intended to be placed on a bed and be held stationary during the very working procedure. The lower part as appears from the drawing comprises two wheel means 2, 3, whereby the working machine simply can be moved from one working place to another one. Furthermore, the working machine at its upper part has a third wheel means 4, whereby the machine can be laid down so that it rests on the three wheel means in an essentially horizontal position.
On this stationary lower part is an upper part 5 rotatably applied. This upper part comprises a relatively high pillar 6, on which a suspension device 7 is moveable upwards or downwards by a not shown electric motor. In this connection the pillar 6 functions as a guide means for the suspension device 7. This suspension device 7 carries a relatively thick bar 8 which has an essentially horizontal extension and is movable in the one or the other direction in relation to the suspension device 7 by a not shown electric motor. This bar 8 can of course be made relatively long in dependence upon the field of application. If there is a desire to have an extra long bar, this one could be telescopic. Due to the fact that the bar 8 is projectable in relation to the suspension device 7, the working machine gets an extremely large action radius. The bar 8 is further rotatable about its longitudinal axis in relation to the suspension device.
Farthest out on the bar 8 is a frame 9 for a working unit 10 detachably fastened. This frame comprises on elongated, plate-like first part 11 , which is fastened on the bar 8 and a second part in the form of an essentially horizontally extending, plate-like guide means 12, which is arranged under the first part 11 and is rotatable in relation to this one about an imaginary axis 13.
The working unit 10 comprises an electric motor 14 and a working means
15, driven by this motor, which are fastened in an essentially vertically extending plate
16, which is designed in that way that it can cooperate with a plate-like guide means 17 which accordingly also has an essentially vertical extension.
The upper part of the guide means 17 is fastened on the underside of an essentially horizontally extending plate 18, which is provided with tracks so that it can be brought forwards or backwards on the guide means 12 which is laying above the mentioned plate 18. Due to this arrangement the working unit can carry out the following movements in relation to the bar 8: a) rotation about the axis 13; b) forwards/backwards - see arrows Pi; c) upwards/downwards - see arrows P2; Furthermore, the bar can rotate (see arrows P3) and move forwards and backwards (see arrows P4) in relation to the suspension device 7, whereas the suspension device 7 can move upwards or downwards in relation to the pillar 6 (see arrows P5). Finally, the upper part 5 of the working machine can be rotated in relation to its lower part 1 (see arrows P ). Thus, with this new working machine it is possible to carry out seven different movements, which means that working machine is given an extremely large range and nearly unlimited movement possibilities. In Fig. 2 is shown principally the same working machine as in fig. 1 but with that difference that the working unit has a different position. Thus, the new working machine has large variation possibilities regarding the position of the working unit, because the plate-like guide means, which to a certain extent control the pattern of movement, can easily be taken loose and be replaced in the frame suspending the working unit.
When comparing the working machines according to Figures 1 and 2, it can be stated that the guide plate which has been given the number 12 in fig. 1 and the number 19 in fig. 2 has been moved from the underside of the first part 11 of the frame 9 to the edge portion 20 on the first part 11 of the frame 9, the guide plate 19 being arranged on edge and has an essentially horizontal extension. Thus, the guide plate 19 extends essentially perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the bar 8 and a minor distance outside the mentioned bar. On the guide plate 19 is another guide plate 21 arranged in that way that it can be displaced forwards and backwards in an essentially horizontal direction on the first-mentioned plate 19. On the other guide plate 21, which extends essentially vertically, is the working unit 10 itself intended to be able to be displaced upwards and downwards. Due to the shown arrangement can accordingly working of objects be made on the side of the longitudinal axis of the bar 8, which contributes to the great flexibility regarding the movement pattern of the new working machine and to the good accessibility when working places which are difficult to reach.
As has been mentioned, the guide plates can easily be taken loose and be replaced. This has validity also for the working unit. In this connection reference is made to figures 2 and 3 where the working unit 10 is directed upwards according to fig. 2 but directed downwards according to fig. 3. It shall be observed that the electric motor 14 and the working unit 15 (see fig. 3) simply can change places if that should be suitable from a working point of view.
In the text the expression working means has been used. In this collection name are included turning tool, milling tool, drilling tool, reamer, boring tool, grinding tool and threading tool. The new working machine represents a new thinking in the field and is very suitable to be used not only when repairing existing big objects but also during mobile working in current production. This means that the new machine in a simple way can be taken out to an industry hall and there carry out complicated machine 4 workings of big objects, which working normally would be made by a working machine, stationarily mounted in a machine room. Thus, in the later case should the big objects need to be moved to the machine room in question. Thus, the new machine gives large saving. According to a further development of the invention is the new working machine made in modules, whereby the size of the machine can be varied in a simple way.
According to a further development of the invention the two ends of the bar can be provided with working means, whereby the efficiency of the machine can increase still more.
Further modifications of the working machine are of course possible to make within the scope of the following claims.
