La présente invention concerne un perfectionnement apporté aux tapis pour véhicule automobile, c'est-à-dire aux tapis qui sont destinés à être posés sur le plancher du véhicule , à l'intérieur de l'habitacle, à l'emplacement du conducteur ou des passagers. Elle a plus particulièrement pour objet un tapis pour véhicule automobile comportant une pièce de renforcement permettant de lui conférer une plus grande rigidité. La plupart des tapis pour véhicule automobile se présentent sous la forme d'une structure plane souple, pouvant être déformée manuellement, et ayant généralement une forme sensiblement rectangulaire. Plusieurs techniques de fabrication de tapis pour véhicule automobile sont connues à ce jour. A titre indicatif, le tapis peut être constitué par une structure textile enduite d'une résine synthétique sur sa face d'envers, la structure textile constituant la face d'endroit du tapis. Il peut également s'agir d'un tapis réalisé par moulage de résine synthétique, et par exemple un tapis à base d'élastomères ou de caoutchouc. Les tapis pour véhicule automobile sont destinés à être posés sur le plancher du véhicule, à l'emplacement par exemple du conducteur ou aux différents emplacements des passagers. Il est important que le tapis soit amovible par rapport au plancher du véhicule, afin qu'il puisse être facilement changé en cas d'usure mécanique ou de salissures.
