Abstract
The invention relates to a bicycle provided with an electric motor (1) which can be optionally connected to the rear bicycle wheel (11) or to other positions. The power supply device, namely powerpacks/batteries (5), are arranged at the center of gravity of the bicycle, namely in the supporting lower tube (4) of the bicycle frame such that a lowest possible center of gravity results. The lower tube can be equipped with batteries by bending the rear wheel which is mounted in a hinged manner (8). The power supply device cannot be observed by third parties since the appearance of the bicycle is not altered by the powerpack.
Description
Fahrrad mit: Einrichtung zur Energieversorgung eines Elektromotors Bicycle with: Device for the energy supply of an electric motor
Beschreibungdescription
The invention relates to a bicycle, consisting essentially of a bicycle frame formed from the upper tube and a supporting down tube, a bottom bracket connected to the down tube, a rear wheel boom connected to the down tube and an electric motor driven by batteries arranged in the far frame.
Bicycles have been known for some time, which are characterized in that they have an electric motor in addition to the normal drive via the bottom bracket and the associated mechanical chain drive. This electric motor generally also acts on the rear wheel of the bicycle. In addition, so-called mopeds are of course known, some of which have their engine (electric or petrol engine) on the front wheel.
Such semi-mechanical bicycles are usually constructed in diamond construction and serve to make transportation quicker and more comfortable on the one hand and to relieve the cyclist on the other. The target group of semi-mechanical or motorized bicycles are city couriers (bicycle couriers) but also "normal" people who cannot or do not want to spend themselves on bicycles. A conventional diamond frame consists of a lower and an upper tube, as well as a seat stay and chain stay which are connected to each other via the seat tube in a geometric structure approximating a diamond; the bottom bracket is located at the intersection of the lower tube, seat tube and chain stay.
Known bicycles of this type have the disadvantage that the energy supply device for the electric motor, which can usually be connected to the bicycle and is not permanently connected, is arranged in positions of the bicycle which are unsuitable because, on the one hand, they have the available external space on the bicycle frame (eg saddlebag, luggage rack, frame) fill out unnecessarily and, on the other hand, load the weight, so that the bike can easily get out of balance, since the energy supply devices are very high above the ground and thus increase the center of gravity of the bike. Batteries or rechargeable batteries based on Nikkei / Cadmiu, which have a high specific weight, are usually used as the energy supply device. Another disadvantage of an external attachment of the batteries is that they can easily be stolen by third parties.
It is not described how the batteries can be inserted into the frame. The weight of such a bicycle is also very high and the entire bicycle is not balanced. The motor is only activated at a certain speed frequency. DE 42 19 579 C2 describes a bicycle with an open down tube, but without a motor and without energy. Ultimately, EP 0 268 338 A2 describes a bicycle with a light system, but without a motor, the batteries not being removable from the frame, but having to be charged from the outside.
The object of the present invention is therefore to place the energy supply device on the bicycle in such a way that the center of gravity does not become too high and the available "storage space" of the bicycle is not burdened with the energy supply device.
Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe dadurch, daßThis task is solved by the fact that
The electric motor is arranged outside the bicycle frame formed from the top tube, down tube, seat tube and bottom bracket
und durch Batterien gespeist wird, die nah am Schwerpunkt des Fahrrades innerhalb des Unterrohres angeordnet sind,and is powered by batteries located close to the center of gravity of the bike within the down tube,
The batteries can be inserted into the down tube from below.
This measure according to the invention ensures that the energy supply device is not arranged visibly on the bicycle. One of the advantages is that the energy supply device cannot be stolen by third parties. Another advantage is that the energy supply device is arranged in the supporting down tube, whereby the Weight distribution gives the lowest possible center of gravity. This increases better road holding and also safety of the bike. A further advantage of the invention is that the entire down tube can be supplied with batteries as energy supply units. Usually not individual batteries are used for this, but battery packs / cartridges that can be inserted in series (like a normal rod torch) and inserted into the down tube. According to the invention, contacts are arranged for this purpose within the down tube, which ensure a current flow. Access to the down tube is given by a closure which is arranged at the lower end of the down tube. By simply mechanically unscrewing or unlocking the closure, one or more battery packs can be inserted into the down tube from below. If the down tube cannot or should not be completely filled with battery packs, it is provided that a resilient contact is provided in the inside of the down tube, which on the one hand ensures permanent contact with the batteries, but on the other hand also keeps the batteries resilient.
According to the invention, it is further provided for equipping the down tube with the batteries that the rear wheel can be pivoted out of the normal position via its rear wheel arm, and in this way the down tube can be equipped with the batteries by simple manual operation. For this purpose, it is further provided according to the invention that the rear wheel boom is connected to the down tube, which forms part of the bicycle frame, via a shock absorber, which can be used to change the battery. riepacks can be unlocked from the rear wheel and / or from the down tube.
Batteriekartuschen.Another embodiment provides according to the invention that a non-resilient bicycle frame is used. In this case, the rear wheel boom is provided with a further frame element, namely the seat tube between the upper and lower tube. It is decisive for the invention, however, that the bottom bracket is arranged either above or below the down tube and not inside, since the down tube itself serves to hold the batteries. Compared to the normal diamond geometry, the bottom bracket tube is laid from the intersection of the saddle and down tube, thus enabling it to be equipped with batteries or battery cartridges.
The capacity of the batteries is usually limited, so that in this case it is provided that more powerful batteries can be inserted into the down tube or the capacity of the electric motor can be increased by connecting several battery packs in series. This makes particular sense when larger distances have to be covered. For this purpose, it is further provided that a storage option in the form of a holder is arranged on the down tube. If necessary, battery packs can be placed in this holder, which can be pushed into the down tube if necessary or can be exchanged for empty rechargeable batteries in the down tube. If this holder is not used for energy packs, it could for example. serve to store a shell case, which is a considerable advantage for city couriers. The replacement batteries can be replaced as well as switched on, which increases the range without replacing the inner battery.
Batteriepacks.Since the capacity of the batteries is limited, they must be charged regularly. For this purpose either conventional methods are available, that is, the external charging of the batteries or an internal battery charging by applying a voltage to the batteries or battery packs located in the down tube.
Die Erfindung weist daher zusammenfassend folgende Vorteile auf:The invention therefore has the following advantages in summary:
die Energieversorgungseinrichtung, nämlich die Energiepacks, sind nahe des Schwerpunkts des Fahrrades angeordnet,the energy supply device, namely the energy packs, are arranged near the center of gravity of the bicycle,
- die Energiepacks sind nicht frei zugänglich für jedermann, da hierzu erst in einer bevorzugten - gefederten - Ausführungsform das Hinterrad abgewinkelt werden muß,the energy packs are not freely accessible to everyone, since the rear wheel must first be angled in a preferred, spring-loaded embodiment,
die Energieversorgungseinrichtung ist für Dritte nicht sichtbar, wodurch das Fahrrad optisch nicht durch den Energiepack verändert wird,the energy supply device is not visible to third parties, so that the bike is not visually changed by the energy pack,
Örtlichkeiten des Fahrrades anderen Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung stehen, wie z.B. einem Gepäckträger,the distribution of the center of gravity on the bicycle is favored by the weight gain close to the optimal center of gravity of the bicycle (the bottom bracket) by the energy pack, bicycle stand still 'in front by the invisible accommodation of the energy packs all Zusatzverstaumöglichkeiten available, that is, neither the guards nor the bike bags, nor any other externally visible parts of the bicycle are affected by the power pack, so that these areas or Locations of the bike are available for other options, such as a luggage rack,
The bicycle can be used as a "normal" bicycle when the battery pack and motor are removed, since it does not differ from a conventional bicycle in terms of weight or optical changes.
The invention is described in more detail with reference to the following figures and an embodiment; it shows:
Figur 1 eine schematische Darstellung eines aus Unterrohr und Oberrohr bestehenden Fahrradrahmens mit einem gelenkig angeordneten Hinterradausleger und einem federnden Stoßdämpfer;Figure 1 is a schematic representation of a bicycle frame consisting of down tube and top tube with an articulated rear wheel boom and a resilient shock absorber;

Teiles des Unterrohres mit abgewinkeltem Hinterrad und einschiebbarer Energiekartusche;
Figur 3 eine schematische Darstellung eines nicht-federnden Hinterradauslegers mit einem unterhalb des Unterrohres angeordneten Tretlagers;Part of the down tube with angled rear wheel and insertable energy cartridge; Figure 3 is a schematic representation of a non-resilient rear wheel boom with a bottom bracket arranged below the down tube;
Figur 4 eine Ausführungsform gemäß FigurFigure 4 shows an embodiment according to Figure
3 mit oberhalb des Unterrohres angeordneten Tretlager.3 with bottom bracket arranged above the down tube.
Hierzu ist (nicht dargestellt) am Fahrradlenker eine Zuschalteinrichtung bzw. eine Kontrolleinrichtung für den Elektromotor vorgesehen, einschließlich Geschwindigkeitsgeber.FIG. 1 shows a bicycle, consisting of an upper tube 10 and a down tube 4, which is provided with a bottom bracket 3 below the down tube 4. A chainring 2 is arranged on the bottom bracket 3 and is provided in a known manner with the rear wheel 11 or the chainring of the rear wheel 11 (not shown). An electric motor 1 is also arranged on the rear wheel 11 and can be switched on to the bicycle if necessary. For this purpose, a connection device or a control device for the electric motor, including a speed sensor, is provided on the bicycle handlebar.
The rear wheel 11 is connected to the down tube 4 via a rear wheel arm 8, which is connected to the down tube 4 in an articulated manner via a joint 12 which is arranged above the down tube 4. Furthermore, the rear wheel arm 8 is connected to the lower tube 4 via a shock absorber 7, so that the rear wheel arm 8 or the rear wheel 11 is spring-mounted. The shock absorber 7 is detachably provided with the rear wheel boom 8 so that it can be folded out of the connection if necessary and the rear wheel 11 is freely movable via the rear wheel arm 8 or its joint 12.
The down tube 4 is hollow - compare FIG. 2 - and houses at least one battery pack in its interior, which serves to supply energy to the electric motor 1. To insert the battery pack 5 into the down tube 4, a closure cap 6 is manually removed at the lower end of the down tube 4 by turning or locking it, and the battery pack is inserted. The closure 6 serves at the same time as a contact means for the battery pack 5. By folding the rear wheel 11 away from the common axis “down tube rear wheel”, the insertion opening into the down tube 4 is freely accessible.
Unterrohr 4 anbringen (nicht dargestellt) .In order to prevent third parties from tampering with the down tube with its energy pack located therein, it can be provided that the closure 6 is secured with a security lock. Additionally or alternatively, it is provided that the shock absorber 7 can be connected to the rear wheel arm 8 in a controllable, detachable manner via a locking device. For this purpose, a simple locking mechanism with a safety key can be attached in the connecting means between the shock absorber 7 and the rear wheel arm 8 or down tube 4 (not shown).
Das Sattelrohr 9 verbindet Unterrohr 4 und Oberrohr 10 zu einem gemeinsamen Hinterbau.FIG. 3 shows a bottom bracket 3, which is arranged above the down tube 4. In this case, the bicycle frame is non-articulated, since the rear wheel arm 8 consists of a seat stay and a further frame element 9, namely the seat tube, and a chain strut 8a, is formed. The seat tube 9 connects the lower tube 4 and the upper tube 10 to a common rear triangle.
Another embodiment is shown in FIG. 4, in which the bottom bracket 3 is arranged below the down tube 4 and, in the rest of the case, the rear wheel arm 8, as in FIG. 3, is non-articulated. The embodiment as described in FIGS. 3 and 4 also makes it possible to equip the down tube 4 with the battery pack from below.
It is further provided that the down tube 4 is provided with a holder (not shown) for receiving additional battery packs or battery cartridges. As an alternative, this holder can also be used to hold shell cases for storing objects, more or less as a luggage stand.
The advantage of the battery pack lying close to the bottom bracket is that the arrangement at the lowest point of the frame creates a very low center of gravity, which significantly improves the handling of the bicycle. The solution according to the invention of the arrangement of the batteries in the interior of the down tube 4 creates a simple possibility for changing the batteries, so that the battery cartridges can be replaced within a few minutes without additional tools.
It is also possible not to insert the cartridges into the down tube from below, but instead to insert batteries into the down tube by inserting the cartridges from above. This is - not shown provides - provided that the top tube 10 is equipped with a mechanical closure on the head tube. By simply unlocking the closure, it is possible to equip the down tube 4 with battery cartridges.
