Abstract

The invention concerns an article for reducing the amount of smoke coming from the a cigarette (10) burning end, consisting of a substantially cylindrical body whereof the circular opening enables said body to slide with friction along the cigarette, by the action of the user's fingers. The article comprises a proximal part (2) to be directed towards the cigarette inhaling end preferably made of plastic with stable dimensions, and a distal ring (1) for receiving or approaching the burning end made of heather. The section of the cylindrical body for receiving at least partially the ring has longitudinal slots (9) extending from the end so as to make it easier to mount and maintain the ring at the end of the cylindrical body.
