Definitions
- the present invention relates to an automatic water flush toilet which does not need a water reservoir and a siphon, a bowl tap, and a lever included therein to reduce production cost, has no troublesome parts to improve durability, takes up less space, and uses a small amount of water which is compressed and injected by high pressure compressed air.
- a large water reservoir takes a large amount of space and includes a siphon, a bowl tap, and a lever, which frequently causes the water flush toilet to malfunction. Also, as water always remains in the bowl of the toilet, water may splash and embarrassing or unpleasant sounds are made when the toilet is used. Further, as water of low pressure in the water reservoir is used to clean the bowl, as much water as about 13 liters is consumed per flush. It is also inconvenient to manually operate the lever for flush.
- a water flush toilet using a flash valve adopts a 25 mm water pipe.
- a 15 mm water pipe is used, as the water reservoir should be installed at a higher position, installation cost increases and much more water is consumed.

- the other end of the lever 14 having a hole 51 is disposed inside the indentation 16 of the protruding portion 20 and a shaft 13 having O-rings 26 and 27 inserted into grooves formed therein is inserted through the hole 51 of the lever 14 and holes 52 and 53 of two shaft supports 12 and 23.
- the shaft 13 and the lever 14 are fixedly coupled by a bolt 11.
- the O-rings 26 and 27 between the shaft 13 and the shaft supports 12 and 23 form a seal therebetween.
- the lever 14 is disposed such that an arc A having a center coinciding with the center of the shaft 13 and a radius extending to the farthest circumferential point of the roller 19 from the center, an arc B having the lowest point of the valve 5 as the center thereof and a radius extending to the tip of rod 6, and an arc C having the highest point of the valve 5 as the center thereof and a radius extending to the tip of rod 6 can cross one another as shown in FIG. 2A.
- the shaft 13 at the side of the shaft support 12 is inserted into a hole 58 formed in one end of an arm 21 and fixedly coupled to the arm 21 by a bolt 24.
- the shaft 13 at the side of the shaft support 23 is inserted into a hole 65 of an arm 22 and fixedly coupled to the arm 22 by a bolt 25.
- a II- shaped push frame 37 is inserted in a groove formed in the upper portion of the other end of each arm (21 and 22) capable of pivoting forward and backward around a shaft 72.
- a support bar 71 connecting the push frame 37 capable of moving forward and backward under the horizontal portion of bent shafts 28 and 29 constitutes an automatic opening/shutting portion.
- a compression chamber 9 is formed at the lower rear portion of the bowl 38 having a S-type trap 39 and has a bolt pipe 63 and a water supply pipe 10 at the upper and lower portions of the compression chamber 9, respectively.
- Leaf springs 35 and 35' are coupled by bolts 36 and 36' at either side of the bowl 38 and are connected to a bowl cover 40 to be placed on top of the bowl 38.
- the portion of the trap 39 where water remains is structured to be short.
- the vertical pipe portion of the elbow 32 around which a big nut 64 and an O-ring 33 are inserted is inserted into the bolt pipe 63 and screw- coupled such that a space for flowing water is generated between the lower portion of the vertical pipe portion of the elbow 32 and the bottom surface of the compression chamber 9.
- the horizontal portion of the bent shafts 28 and 29 are inserted into holes of a toilet seat 66 and a toilet seat cover 67.
- the vertical portion of the bent shaft 28 is coupled to the arm 21 by a shaft 30 inserted into a hole 70 formed in the bent shaft 28, and the vertical portion of the bent shaft 29 is coupled to the arm 22 by a shaft 31 inserted into a hole 70 formed in the bent shaft 29.
- the lower portions of the vertical portions of the bent shafts 28 and 29 are fixed on the leaf springs 35 and 35' to thus be elastically supported.
- FIG. 2B shows an automatic water flush toilet having a structure similar to that shown in FIG. 2A, in which a fluid decelerating portion is coupled to the upper end of the elbow 32 of the automatic opening/shutting portion.
- a chamber 56 in the cylinder 42 which is partitioned by a wall having holes 57 and 68 for connection at the upper and lower portions of the wall, respectively, is filled with fluid.
- a ball 48 at the tip of a bolt 50 is disposed in the hole 68 which has a larger diameter at the right side thereof (on the sheet of FIG. 2B) to be capable of freely moving therein.
- An O-ring 55 is inserted around the bolt 50 and the bolt 50 is screw-coupled to the fluid decelerator 49 so that the degree of opening of the hole 68 can be adjusted by rotating the bolt 50a.
- a push rod 44 is inserted into a cover 62 by interposing an O-ring 60 therebetween and the cover 62 is screwed-coupled to the upper portion of the cylinder 42.
- a lever 41 is coupled to a supporter 45 and the upper portion of the push rod 44 by shafts 46 and 61 to be capable of pivoting and elastically supported by a spring 47 inserted around the push rod 44.
- the lower portion of the fluid decelerator 49 is fixed on the upper portion of the elbow 32 of the automatic opening/shutting portion and is elastically supported such that the end portion of the lever 41 can push the horizontal portion of the bent shafts 28 and 29 upward.
- FIGS. 2C and 2D show the automatic opening/shutting portions including the outlet pipe 1 which are vertically structured.
- the shaft supporter 17of the lever 14, the shaft 18, and the roller 19 is removed, and in FIG. 2D, the internal structure of the outlet pipe 1 is opposite to the direction of that of FIG. 2C including the shaft support 17 of the lever 14, the shaft 18, and the roller 19.
- the water supply pipe 10 is connected to a water service pipe and water is supplied to the compression chamber 9.
- water supplied increases from the lower portion of the compression chamber 9
- air in the upper portion thereof is compressed until the pressure of the air becomes the same as that of the water.
- the supply of water is shut off and the compression chamber 9 is filled with high- pressure air and water.
- the lever 14 rotates counterclockwise and, as the roller 19 contacts the rod 6, the rod 6 is pressed downward and the valve 5 is released to allow water to flow into the bowl 38.
- the amount of water flowing through the outlet hole 2 of the outlet pipe 1 increases as the rotation speed of the lever 14 decreases.
- the person should adjust the speed of sitting down on and getting up from the toilet. If the person sits or gets up quickly, only a small amount of water flows in.
- the push frame 37 When a female urinates, the push frame 37 is pushed forward to rotate clockwise around the shaft 72 and the support bar 71 is placed on the bowl cover 40 and support the bent shafts 28 and 29. Thus, if she sits on the toilet seat 66, since the bent shafts 28 and 29 and the toilet seat 66 are not pressed down, water does not come out. After she finishes her needs in the above state, the push rod 37 is pushed backward to rotate counterclockwise and the urine can be cleaned with a small amount of water as described in the male case.
- the bolt 50 is rotated in the screw-coupling direction. Then, the bolt 50 pushes the ball 48 toward the side of the hole 68 having a larger diameter and the speed of the fluid passing through the hole 68 increases. Accordingly, the piston 43, the push rod 44, and the lever 41 return to their initial positions faster and the valve 5 is closed faster so that the a small amount of water flows in.
- the siphon, the bowl tap, and the lever of the water reservoir are not required, manufacturing cost is reduced with low possibility of malfunction and decreased installation space. Also, since water does not remaining in the lower portion of the bowl, there is no splashing and embarrassing or unpleasant sounds are made. Further, since the bottom surface is wet with a small amount of water before one urinates or defecates, cleaning is facilitated. Furthermore, since water of high pressure is injected by air compressed by the pressure of the water supplied through a narrow water service pipe, cleaning with a small amount of water is possible.
