Abstract

Eine Basisstation sendet eine erste Meldung, mit der eine Konfigurierung der Funkschnittstelle eingeleitet wird. Eine Mobilstation empfängt die erste Meldung, worauf diese Mobilstation eine zweite Meldung sendet. Die Basisstation bestimmt einen Empfangszeitpunkt für die zweite Meldung und daraus einen Korrekturwert, der zur Synchronisation der Informationsübertragung über die Funkschnittstelle verwendet wird. Durch die Synchronisation der Übertragung der ATM-Zellen wird bei hoher Ausnutzung von funktechnischen Ressourcen der Funkschnittstelle auch ein Entfernungsbereich vergleichbar mit derzeitig existenten öffentlichen Mobilfunknetzen für eine WATM-Übertragung erschlossen.
